  1. USA has looked very sharp so far. Hope Pulisic is able to rest against Turkiye and come back strong in the bracket round.
  2. Back in my HS and early college days, this conference consistenly had dudes that would make national All American lists. College talent all over the field, and those Colerain teams were juggernaut level. If its still anything like that, this kid has been tested already.
  3. Fox has always been low basketball IQ, but now everyone gets to see it. Agree that Mitch Johnson played horrible rotations. And they just have...no offensive game plan whem things go south. Its all reliant on the guards beating their man off the dribble and kicking or lob to Wemby. Now they have the skill to make that work, but the Knicks had wayyyy more structure in the PnR and off ball movement by OG, Bridges, and Shamet. Its good to see Mike Brown get a ring while Fox goes home empty.
  4. Yeah that floor makes no sense. Someone with the floor of McCollum and ceiling of Mitchell would be #1 most years. With Brown's low back injuries already at age 20, his floor is needing a walker with tennis balls on the legs in a decade.
  5. I know its his 1st year there but dont forget Jose Alvarado. Born in BK and raised in Queens. Undrafted out of Ga Tech.. Low income grew up Knicks fan but couldn't afford tickets. Now traded to New York and its a literal childhood dream come true. Hollywood wishes it had that script.
  6. Right there with ya. Probably an unpopular opinion here but also rooting for NYK. Several reasons 1. OG is that dude and I want him to get a ring and Finals MVP. 2. Spurs have won plenty. Knicks fans need this. 3. My team has had plenty of battles with the Spurs so I have grown into a Spurs hater, even if this squad is genuinely likeable. 4. De'Aaron Fox low basketball IQ legitimately got Mike Brown fired from Sacramento (yes yes its a broken franchise but still), and it would be poetic justice to see him win a title over Fox.
  7. Mitch Johnson definitely **** the bed last night, but I would be legitimately shocked if they moved on from him following a Finals run. Unless you meant more experienced assistant coaches, which would be a great move to replace Sean Sweeney.
  8. I like the comparison between the Duncan Spurs and this squad. In fact, next year Wemby will be the same age as Duncan was when they dominated in 99. Big difference is that 99 champ team has the vets the Spurs dont have in key positions. Robinson, Sean Elliiott, Avery Johnson, and Mario Elie all had been around the league between 8-10 years. Agree that this team has more top to bottom talent, but will the young guys be ready to dominate by next year? We will see, but either way this is invaluable experience for the future even if they lose.
  9. I realize he just now got a ratings bump, but watching him several times I could never figure how or why he didn't have more HM offers. He can absolutely take the top of the defense as the Y.
  10. That was the wildest **** I have ever seen. OG is the king of New York
  11. Lets all think of the positive. Sure, it seems like the collapse of a beloved sport. But there happens to be top DL in the nation that is committed to a team that is currently in a swirl of controversy. Any drama around Tech certainly could not hurt our chances at landing Mr. Brewster
  12. Thank god ESPN no longer has 100% control. Refuse to get cable but had to get the app last year for 2 months. This year..much better for cord cutters.
  13. Lets hope that OKC doesn't even get that far. They probably will, but their brand of "basketball " is so unwatchable. I'm a longtime Spurs hater but would buy a Wemby jersey if they can win this series.
  14. I grew up loving both NBA and college basketball. Watched as many games as I could, playoff time I wouldn't leave the TV. I hate to sound like a "back in my day" trope, but the product now is borderline unwatchable between officiating and flopping. Add in the not at all subtle gambling ties and the Aspiration scandal, and the integrity of the game is compromised. It should be an outstanding product when players today are so talented, bigs like Jokic and Wemby are ridiculously entertaining. Adam Silver is tanking both the on-the-floor product and the credibility of the results.
  15. I know we will still be portal shopping, but it seems like this might be a slightly larger o-line class due to losing a lot to graduation and projections based on the number of offers we have out. I know Bostad likes some of our young guys but we will definitely need to add talented linemen after 2026.
  16. Hoosier alum Sam Sarver had the game winning goal for FC Dallas + a very IU celebration RDT_20260517_004406.mp4
  17. Games will still run through November in the fall and start back.in February so we are atill gonna freeze our ***** off. But I agree it will be better
  18. https://247sports.com/college/indiana/article/ncaa-di-mens-soccer-moves-to-two-semester-sport-college-cup-pushed-back-to-spring-285190375/ Finally, great news for college futbol! 2 semester schedule will be implemented starting fall 2027. College Cup 2026 will be the last one that has to be played in December.
  19. Hope we dont miss here. I want this kid in cream and crimson.
  20. OOC is set through 2030, with 2031 being our next open spot. We could always buy out but I doubt it happens. Cignetti seems to like the tune up games. We add more wins and can get starters more rest, but with a slight chance that the SOS would hurt us in the playoff debate. Seems to be a risk we are willing to take.
  21. And Braden Smith comes in at a height of 5'10 1/4". The height inflation by cbb teams is quite impressive.
  22. I had many issues with Stern when he held the office, but at the very least, he had a hand in expansion and basketball becoming a true globally popular sport. I always thought Selig was the worst commish of that era. But I could definitely hear the argument for Stern.
  23. It cannot be overstated that Adam Silver is the worst commissioner in sports. I used to love the NBA, but he is driving thia product so far into the ground. Tanking is not the issue he thinks it is, and its my speculation that he uses tanking as a guise to hide the real problems of gambling, egregious officiating, and the Aspiration scandal (which he has yet to address, as his buddy Ballmer can't be touched). I'm not even a Pacers fan and know you guys got robbed.
  24. Reminder that Purdue men and IU women each got a point for indoor championships. And outdoor has been very competitive the last few years, usually coming down to 1-2 spots. Going to be a hell of a weekend.
  25. Trust the staff 100% but was hoping this kid would be a Hoosier. On to the next.
