RaceToTheTop Posted April 8, 2025 Posted April 8, 2025 The more I think about it, the more Dan Skillings from Cincinnati would make sense if Drew Adams could aid in that. Decent defender and okay scorer. Had a pretty good sophomore year. Last year the injury issue brought down his numbers. lillurk, MemphisHoosier and CSP 3 Quote

BA47591 Posted April 8, 2025 Posted April 8, 2025 Well, there have been some pretty successful 1st year success stories this year. 2 coaches in the final 4 in the 3rd year at their post. One just won the national championship. The big ten just added a few new coaches. So how did we do? We'll know soon enough. Gotta get that staff finalized then we'll hear alot more names of possible portal adds. Golden was under .500 year one. lillurk 1 Quote
Popular Post DChoosier Posted April 8, 2025 Popular Post Posted April 8, 2025 Tourney is over. 5/6 of Florida’s main rotation guys were portal dudes and ALL 5 of them transferred from non-power conferences. Kind of crazy. Looking forward to seeing what we put together. JustWinBaby, thebigweave, Hollywood Mike Miranda and 9 others 12 Quote

EasyEJay Posted April 8, 2025 Posted April 8, 2025 Cincy Big Man Arrinten Page has entered the portal . Former top 60 recruit that started at USC . Hasn’t reached his full potential in 2 seasons this far . Be interesting to see if Adams thinks there is something there and can get him to a Bloomington . Paye32 and Hoosierfanyuh 2 Quote

I'm not too intrigued, but Adams would have worked directly with him. Quote

Kind of crazy. Looking forward to seeing what we put together. It was a pretty improbable run, I must say. Florida was losing by significant deficits in 4 of its 6 tourney games. R32 Uconn -- largest deficit 8, lowest win probability 23% E8 Texas Tech -- largest deficit 9, lowest win probability 4% F4 Auburn -- largest deficit 9, lowest win probability 15% NCG Houston -- largest deficit 12, lowest win probability 7% Each one of those comebacks on its own was improbable. The Texas Tech comeback was truly shocking. Against Auburn they were incredibly fortunate Johni Broome was hurt and not playing 100%, because I think Auburn would've won otherwise. And they're also fortunate that Houston beat Duke in an incredibly improbable comeback, because I don't think that Florida team last night would've had a prayer against Duke. Florida's a deserving champion and I'm not trying to take anything away from them. They proved all season they were one of the best teams in the country. If anything, the mental toughness and resilience it took to keep coming back in those games is a special quality in itself. But they were far from dominant. go iu bb, moyemayhem, cybergates and 3 others 5 1 Quote

It’s not like the old days where you had to hope the old coach left so guys you could coach up, maybe get a juco transfer, and then start recruiting HS juniors so you could break out in year 3 or 4. If CDD does a good job and can coach with our resources we’ll have a good team next year. If he gets a little lucky too, we could have a FF caliber team. Rico and Alford Bailey 2 Quote

And UH really beat itself down the stretch. Especially the last 2 possessions, just really bad decisions on the ball, dribbling into 3 players with 2 guys open on either side then jumping into the air with plenty of time and not even attempting the shot, just a crazy bad ending for UH, it beat itself RoadRage, tkbbn and go iu bb 3 Quote

I know he left his feet on the shot attempt, but changed his mind. He obviously thought it was going to get blocked. HoosierHoopster 1 Quote

He went at the shot kinda like a guy trying to block a football punt; covered the ball while flying past, not at the guy with the ball. Normally a defender closes-out up to, not past the shooter's stance, but in this case Clayton was apparently so aware of the time remaining that he closed out with a fly by, making it impossible for Sharpe to get a shot off and no chance of body contact.
