The “compromise” by Dolson to let this go down this way saved us some good cash on the buyout. Lot of litigation today. Make no mistake about it, this was not Woody’s decision to retire.

I, for one, am taking reports Woody isn't out recruiting 25s as a positive. Why would he bother if things were moving towards him being replaced. That is my positive affirmation in the face of what looks like an indefensible lack of recruiting tonight during sectionals. 

Because he loves the program and he only came back to rebuild it and not for the money. Because he loves iu and even if he isn't the coach he wants whats best for it?

If you don't think I have been fully checked out by people on this board, by people at this university than I don't know what to tell you. Many members on this board know exactly what I do and where I work. I have even had a poster from this site come to my office. 
But I have never gotten any info from anything I do with my job at IU. 
You have some grudge or something against me or people here. We don't dislike you, I kind of like you for how you stand up for you feel is right. I like your loyalty to Coach. Just chill a little. 
I don't know what is going to happen, I pass along what I hear. I've been wrong many times and each time I am it gets pointed out by Hornsby, Josh or Hoosier2017 or someone like that LOL. 

Can confirm. I’ve stood in his office on the IU campus and know his backstory. No, I didn’t mean to end up in his office or go there to meet him. I think I might have put two and two together when I saw his desk name plate. He helped connect me with some people at IU when I needed too.

Sad thing is we only have one more month in that office. We’re moving to another building on campus but won’t be open for students any longer. Will only be able to be contacted by email or phone.

So, I looked at the 4th year records of a mix of coaches. All-timers. Recent tournament winners. And for giggles, Bruce Pearl.
A few one the number of games. Didn’t take the time to look at the other criteria. Not many who even made the 25 win benchmark. All of these are at their last, most prominent positions.
John Wooden 19-12
Dean Smith 15-9
Coach K. 24-10
Roy Williams. 21-7
Bill Self. 33-5
Jim Boeheim. 26-4
Scott Drew. 15-16
Tom Izzo. 33-5
John Thompson. 21-7
John Bielein  21-14
Jay Wright. 24-8
Dan Hurley. 23-10
Lute Olson. 18-12
Mark Few. 24-9
Bruce Pearl. UT. 21-13. Auburn  26-8
John Calipari  21-12
Denny Crum  28-3, but almost needs to be an asterisk because Louisville was in the Missouri Valley Conference 
So, counting Pearl at Auburn, only 5 guys won 25 games in their 4th year. Add RMK and you have 6.
Sure there are more but just trying to remember the more prominent names. The criteria is too exclusive that Hornsby is expecting 
No transfer portal for those guys. And transfers had to sit out a year. It does not take four years to turn a program around anymore period. It just doesn't if you are a good coach.
