If you read carefully what Jerry said, he said “we’re getting our guy”….very specific and I’m sure one could argue the majority of those in those forum would consider their guy to be Brad Steven’s….i mean, “numbers are being discussed”….

Ill be happy if that is our guy. Although I'll believe it when contract is signed and he is in Bloomington doing that job

I think you know why most people are glossing over that and skipping to the other names.....

Because he and Chris have been wrong before. I appreciate what they share with us because they don't have to do it, but every time we think IU is finally going to get something right, it almost always fails to happen.

We were told we had stevens last time and we ended up with woodson . Things can change until someone signs on the dotted line

Ok, I see!  I confess, I’m a little skeptical too.  A guy like Brad Stevens seems a little too good to be true.  I’ll play:

1) Beard

2) Stevens

3) May

4) Drew

5) The youngest of Donovan, Few, Pearl

All these blue checkmark guys say, "Yeah, yeah, call Stevens. You have to but he's not taking the job." On here, we get the drift it's WAY more likely to actually happen. Someone help me understand the disconnect between the 2 views on this. Everyone under the sun that isn't on HERE seems to think it's the most unlikely thing to ever be mentioned. Do we get the damn WHITE WHALE or not?! I'm putting my trust in my guys on this forum!

1 group wants it so badly, they will figure ways to make it seem true and the other looks at things logically?

I’m not getting my hopes up no matter what the rumor mill says.  I’ve been hurt before

I’m just going to be hopeful that no matter who we end up getting, it’s gotta be a helluva lot better than the past 4 years. If it’s Stevens, that’s amazing, if not, so be it, but it’s gotta be better.

I hope IU can do better than this list.  Never heard of the site, but talk about underwhelming "replacements."

Spoiler alert:

Mick Cronin, John Groce, Steve Alford, Richard Pitino, and Ben McCollum are the list.  Surely IU hasn't fallen this far.  Side note:  I Googled "Mike Woodson replacement" and that is how I found this link.  Barf!!

Boston Celtics are up for sale, their window to win has been the current and past two years, their “dynasty” will likely end here in the next 2 years with all those contracts coming to a head.

Brad is a Hoosier, you don’t just quit coaching basketball at a young age. He misses it. It’s time to come home.

It probably also makes a difference if him or his wife’s parents are getting older and they want to be around them more….

Am I the only one who also ranks coaches in who they could bring in the portal with them? Is there anyone from Ole Miss or Auburn or Gonzaga that would put a coach over the top?

if it’s Stevens I think he is the only one who could get Mullins to flip… unfortunately he won’t even try to flip Haralson and I think he also keeps our two recruits that we currently have!

people talk about wanting Few but did everyone forget he has a DUI or maybe 2? So it’s not like he’s Mr. Innocent either.

New ownership also. Might not have the same bond with the new guys.

New ownership will do everything to keep Stevens. He’s a significant part of the current value of the franchise. He’ll get a contract offer that will make his great grandchildren wealthy. He’ll be offered a minority interest in the Celtics.

Woodson is finishing out the season according to Rabjohns. What a joke. Letting him finish out just reaffirms the zero faith I have for IU never getting out of their own way for basketball.

Lol no
