I don’t disagree. But the IU administration’s expectations are the only reason it’s not a fireable offense. NCAA tournament appearances should be the bare minimum at IU, not gold stars that get you a million dollar raise. Mike Davis got fired right after making the round of 32.

Which Indiana isn't and aren't showing any signs of.

Don’t you think it is suggestive or odd that @JerryYeagley23 hasn’t dropped in just to say ‘Wake up’ or ‘Better shut this thread down until 2025.’ There’s only silence coming out of the places you’d expect assurance and nonsense and goonishness from the staff.

I think Dolson is silent because he wants to make a change but doesn’t have the support.  I don’t blame him if he doesn’t say anything.  Woodson is under contract so he doesn’t have to say anything.  I actually think his silence speaks volumes that this is not what he wants.

Some people have been posting about the incompetence of the IU administration for the better part of a decade. It’ll take a lot more than throwing money at this to get over the hump. IU has become irrelevant with their ineptness in the grand scheme of college basketball.

Uhhh yeah there is. X arrested twice (?), half-team broke curfew in Chicago 2023, Taco arrest, believe P Stew was in incident with X, and there’s several more that have escaped me // the common fan was never alerted to. But these issues have been more than just during Woody. Archie had a relatively quiet 4 years w/ off court issues, but Crean had several as well. Troy Williams had a Rodman lifestyle. Emmitt Holt and Devin Davis drunkenly almost killed Davis with a car. Yogi arrest. Much more.

Oddly enough, I find our defensive philosophy (and that’s a generous term given what we do), worse than our offensive philosophy. And I don’t think much of the latter either.

I am a huge fan of Knight. But with Buckner, Glass, Gonzo, Alford, Dolson, et al I’m at the point that point that we should completely clean house. Sever all ties with former players and alumni, except in a ceremonial fashion, and start from the ground up. IU as an institution isn’t capable of producing excellence in this regard.  
 

Take the money at hand and hire the best AD available. Let them build from the ground up including hiring their own basketball and football coaches. And by no means should anybody historically affiliated with IU—former coaches, players, managers, donors—have any say in the process.

The hook n hold on Leal that wasn’t reviewed easily would’ve been if Woody had demanded it. X getting clocked in the face was reviewable if Woody had spoken up. Instead he chooses to get ejected when game was over, rather than defending his players. His low energy, scapegoat mentality translates to his players. Please retire Woody!!

On the other hand, 19-14 is perfectly fine to get you into the Mr. Pibb Invitational held at the Golden Nugget Casino.
