He will have all the resources and chance to prove a lot of us wrong. Which will be welcomed.

A guy who wins like THAT … WANTS to be HERE? That’s where we are as a program. We should all be thrilled he does. Guess he’s not so scared of the fish bowl. He wins big time and is from the Midwest, yall really don’t think he understands this will be a challenge? I’m excited a guy like him wants to take it on. I get how that’s sad, but it’s reality for IU. Commence the golden age for IU athletics between him and Cig.

Goodman mentioned this yesterday. Said if we were to hire McCollum we would need to surround him with excellent assistants “if he were to make it at Indiana.”

Why would you say that. Just because Archie couldn't handle it doesn't mean McCollum can't. It would s all about personality and a belief in yourself and it seems like McCollum has that

You don’t fire Woody mid season to hire some guy D2 guy from Drake. I’ll say, my one source was someone in the athletic office. As of weeks ago, heck, even over a month ago, it was Brad. Up until about two weeks ago, it was Brad. He’s since gone eerily quiet, which I assumed was a good thing. Apparently he went quiet out of shame. If this is true, what an utter failure on Scott’s part. Brad was literally in the bag.

FWIW, Rabby is saying he (and the people that talk to him) thinks it'll be one of McCollum, Brownell, or McDermott. He says the McCollum noise has been getting louder recently and he hasn't heard much about McDermott the past couple of days.

You get a grip.  It’s a crazy hire at Indiana.  I’ve been ready for a different brand of ball for 8 years but this is a bold move.  Let’s see if he can out-Purdue who is a genius basketball mind plus experience.  That’s gonna be the goal but he is way behind the 8 ball.  If he gets star talent he won’t be adept of the hangers-on and agents etc.  And if he doesn’t, winning is hard.
