General Coach Candidate News

Recommended Posts

...I'm sitting in my classroom with zero students today, by choice. I just needed to get out of the house. lol

We got a virtual learning day because of the snow. Students have a shortened class schedule, including a required google meet with teachers. lol

I chose to come to school so I can be at my desk, do my google meets and follow this board today in quiet. Let's keep the good news flowing today!

Go IU!

I really don't see Greg or Scott Drew leaving. They have the perfect set up at their current jobs. Indiana has unrealistic expectations at this point.

How so? I would imagine either of these guys would expect to make the tournament almost yearly and make a run every couple years. I would say the opposite, the IU fan base  have never been so beaten down to accept just very good as a major win.

I thought this guy could be a candidate a couple years ago. However, I am glad he's not the Indiana coach. We got lucky on this one folks.

This sounds like a jolly pudgy guy trying to do a Dan Hurley impression after their Nova loss in one of his first seasons at UConn when he said “you better get us now” lol

I could see Gregg leaving. Creighton has a lot of fan support but they’ve lost players because of NIL before. Ashworth and kalkbrenner both graduate this year so a rebuild here with our resources is probably easier than at Creighton. Maybe he looked over at St. John’s yesterday and saw how they could just buy a great team and doesn’t want to compete against that without the same NIL money. Plus we can give him a nice raise. It is funny though that we start talking about him as a candidate and then he goes and loses 2 straight. Still would love to have to him though

I think Shrews is an amazing coach. His class this next year will be really good

Both of those guys are doing great at their programs. No need to move to Indiana just to restart and maybe a larger NIL.

Do we know if Creighton plans to partake in the 22 million dollar salary cap / payment of players? Mid-majors can opt out. P4 schools likely can't unless they want to lose.

Micah Shrewsberry goes OFF: "I watched more Louisville fans in here than Notre Dame fans. And that's EMBARRASSING... And yes, I got us in this predicament. But don't come back when we're winning. Everybody that gave up on me, write this date down."

Eeeek, Goode at least had the excuse of youth when he made such a tone deaf statement.

That’s funny that you hate Cronin so much but Micah who has had 1 above .500 season in his career would be ok with you
