I would find it much more believable that Woody knows when a candidate has taken himself out of the running, because there is nothing to sabotage there.

But I would find it highly implausible Woody would know who we're still actively negotiating with.

I'd take either.  McDermott is a hell of a coach and what Collins has done at NW with such limited resources compared to other Big Ten teams is remarkable.  Both play a fun style of ball and I never watch a Creighton or Northwestern game and wonder to myself why the coach is making the decisions he does.

Imagine watching IU the last 9 years where you watched 1 season where your team finished above .500 in conference (4 games over .500) and turning your nose up at a coaches last 5 years where he won 68 conference games in a top 4 conference and say nah he is a mid major coach.  lol

Are Woody and Dolson on speaking terms post “retire your backside”? I can’t imagine they are. It was my understanding there wasn’t the warmest of feelings there. And I’m pretty sure everyone in the AD who would be involved are on NDAs and that’s a select few. Dunno tho.
