Their advanced stats are fine They lost their six best players. It’s essentially an entirely different team. And he’s 61st in efficiency. At drake. Last time he allegedly thought Stevens was a done deal, had no backup plan, and ended up with Mike Woodson. We really have no idea what Scott has been up to in terms of cultivating relationships. Let’s see what he does. If he makes a hire that does bad, we can criticize Scott. Woody was a crony hire. If Quinn wasn’t around Scott could have moved on to his next candidate. Do you not recognize that: 1)last time it was mid March when Stevenson said he was a Masshole. 2)No coach worth a flip is focused on his next job at the moment. 3)Quinn's influence is gone 4)Dolson can chew gum and walk at the same time. thebigweave and T White 2
Popular Post Class of '66 Old Fart Posted February 15, 2025 Popular Post Posted February 15, 2025 There is another significant difference in this search than 4-years ago and that's who's leading the university. Woodson was pushed thru by Buckner in March '21 while the Fat Aussie McRobbie was packing up to leave the office. He clearly had no use for athletics and was probably only too happy to let Buckner do whatever he wanted. President Whitten didn't assume leadership until April '21 so her hands are clean on that hire. In her 4 years at IU we know she definitely sees the importance of athletics and I believe if she felt Dolson was on the right path she'd give him her full backing and support. Popular Post steubenhoosier Posted February 15, 2025 Popular Post Posted February 15, 2025 Anyone who is critical of Dolson through this needs to take a step back. The criticism would have been warranted if he had not pursued Stevens. He was willing to push all his chips in, and unfortunately it apparently didn’t work out. Please hold judgment until the actual hiring is announced. Muskie plays the four, T White, Scotty R and 5 others 8
bigrod Posted February 15, 2025 Posted February 15, 2025 If we tried and he said no, so be it. At least no one can say we didn't do what we could. Now let's move on to the next person. I have no hard feelings against anyone posting what they heard. It could have all been true or had some truth to it. That's just the way these things go. 8bucks, coonhounds, thebigweave and 1 other 4

I understand but McCollum is not the slam dunk people are making him out to be. Ive seen him get called the best x and o coach in the country on here and we’ll regret it forever if we don’t get him. I guess how you see him depends on how you view D2 numbers but I’d rather look at kenpom numbers and things like that. Doing that would’ve saved us from archie theriverpilot and IUFAN1976 2

coonhounds Posted February 15, 2025 Posted February 15, 2025 What makes something credible info though? I don’t even know who some of these guys popping up are. When one comes out of nowhere swinging that Brad Stevens is coming, and then hours later Stevens comes out and says he’s not a candidate, it doesn’t paint the best picture: Nothing. Let's get real. This is a free message board. I want to believe stevens is coming. I respect all of their opinions and intel. I have worked and known many compulsive liars. Perhaps these guys are friends with one. Also possible they are purdue fans having fun and laughing at us. In the end this board is for fun. Look at some of the posters for christ sake! Kathy the board member lol. We have the money to buy great players. Heck, Woodson landed guys while playing golf with his buddies and didnt even know their names. McCollum will have good players. McCollum knows tactical side as well as anyone. McCollum would win big at IU. Edited February 15, 2025 by Truthhurts Muskie plays the four and sixseis 2

He wanted to get rid of Woody last year, that was a good call. Overruled though. And you’re just going to ignore football?
