It’s very disingenuous to push the fans running off coaches narrative.  No one even knows who IU has been targeting.

Yeah we're too impatient.  Crean just needed more time.  A near decade wasn't enough and that perfectly explains why he flopped at Georgia.  Same for Mike Davis just needed more time.  His firings at UAB and Detroit are the IU fans fault.  Archie just needed more time.  Also perfectly explains why he's about to be fired by RI.  Woodson just needed more time.  Perfectly explains why no one in the NBA would even give him a look anymore.

And when UNC fires Davis next season after he won the ACC last year and went to the national title game in year 1 you won't hear a damn peep from this jackass.

I would compare his backgroud to Bruce Pearl. I think it’s disingenuous to compare him to Archie.  

While in D2 he had established D1 P5 coaches call him for coaching suggestions and guidance. Every coach you talk to says nothing but praise about him.  The last time he didn't win a conference was 12 years ago.  He has/had multiple point guards play professionally in Europe. In D2 he is known for point guard production and having the best in the division every single year.  IUBB in 1976, 1981, and 1987 all had excellent point guards. The PG is basically the QB on the court and he's a PG coach. He has a process driven philosophy (Nick Sabanesque) and makes sure his players on his team are unselfish. He won't bother bringing in a player if there's any questions about the player's poise. There's a lot of information about him in the thread created just for him.  I've learned a ton there, and I'm completely sold on this guy. He's a unicorn. Wherever he ends up, he's going to win, a lot.  

 

So, basically, he wins, man.
