  1. The Green Dot could be handed down to a future All-American and we will still be taking a massive downgrade at that position. Unbelievable player and leader.

  3. On a championship team, Aiden Fisher has been the ultimate leader, the single best story of overcoming personal adversity, and the greatest example of a completely overlooked and undervalued talent that ended up making the greatest impact for every player on the greatest Hoosier team ever. He’s my single favorite player and Hoosier athlete in my 42 years of being hooked on Hoosier sports.

    (2027) OT Dewey Young

FWIW……According to Scout the offer list is much better than what we used to compete with. He has been offered by Florida State, Auburn, OSU, Colorado, MSU, West Va, UNC, Missouri, Boston College, Minny, etc. Also has mid-major offers from Toledo and Purdue.

  15. Yeah, Pizzo was on Hoosier Hysterics and said it was too soon because we all just lived through the real events and everyone would focus on comparing the accuracy of a movie to the real thing instead of letting the filmmaker translate the story into art. He also told this story which I'm going to share here because I love it and I have been looking for it for weeks:

  20. I was 100% serious when I predicted 12-0 in the record prediction thread for the 2025 season. And for 2026, my prediction is, once again, 12-0. Great times!

  22. Word on 247 is they plan to honor the UNDEFEATED AND NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP IU FOOTBALL TEAM prior to the start of the game. For those who will be there make sure your butt is in your seat probably 15 min. before tipoff. For those dealing with Peacock probably won't see a thing but you never know.

  26. Yeah, I mean you're really just along for the ride in football recruiting. Nothing about it is linear or black and white nor will it ever be. Offers can be offers and offers can be kinda offers. Everything is fluid. I don't think it's that weak of an offer list personally. You can always pull up a kid's Hudl and watch him there.

  27. Ok, so I finally got around to understanding next year's CFB Playoff. Had the rules been set for the 2025 season, Miami and JMU don't make the CFP. Duke, Notre Dame and Tulane get in. Let that sink in folks. ND gets an automatic qualification if they finish in the top 12 of the CFP rankings. Both the B1G and SEC are making it worse in my opinion. They basically gave the middle finger to the G6 and its entire fanbase. This isn't good for the sport. Period. The SEC doesn't want to move to a 24 team playoff system and the Big Ten doesn't want to commit to a 16 team system without a guarantee to move to a 24 team system. Had this year been a 16 team system, the SEC would have had 7 teams in the playoffs. 7 teams. No wonder they don't want a 24 team system. For the good of the sport let's just adopt the 24 team FCS system and be done with it.

  33. Overall, with respect to ND, I don't get why the P2, who control the playoff, are so accommodating to them. Especially with the recent agreed to provision ND is in the playoff if they're in the top-12 starting in 2026. ND is a big program, but looking at their TV ratings they're #10-15 in the country. CFB and the playoff doesn't need them. Why not make the CFP qualification tougher for ND and therefore easier for the P2 conference teams? I don't really get it. And yea, I guess the committee kinda jammed them in 2025, but still. As for our home/home coming up with them, I hope we keep it. A win is great and a loss wouldn't kill our season. But also there is some brewing bad blood with them due to their butthurtness over our recent improvement. The games would be massive and that would be fun.

  34. It really depends on your trust in Cig. Fernando is a loss, for sure, he was a tough Heisman-quality QB. But I recall some similar questions last year where we knew Fernando was an upgrade from Rourke in skill and historical production, but were less sure how he would work out behind the scenes and his fit in the system. And that there were concerns about him after ODU. But, everything gelled and became pretty amazing. I don't know enough about Hoover to say if he comes from the same mold or not because I've been pretty focused on the outgoing team. I'll watch some interviews and tape and see how much I can see of what Cig sees. But, I know he is already better than Fernando in some areas. A little development and the right attitude and he could slot right in. Fernando was not some otherworldly talent, but his weaknesses could be covered by his strengths, scheme, fit with other players, intelligence, and discipline. If Cig thinks Hoover can develop in the same way, then I trust him. Moore and Fischer leave huge voids, but so did Wyatt, Daley, and Bonds during the season. But Cig trusted the guys he had on the roster to fill those voids and they did. Fischer has a unique role, but Cig knows that and knows he has to fill that space. Has he ever given me a reason to think he won't fill the space with someone nearly as good or even better? I understand being skeptical, I'm a very skeptical person, but Cig has constantly been shown to have a plan and to be able to execute it. If he's not worried, I'm not worried.

  36. Yea…having a top 10 Purdue come to town and getting relegated to the 9pm slot is certainly something. Hopefully lots of students attend. I’m sure they’re excited . It might be their best chance to see a national title trophy in a while.

  37. Have the B1G Network on for background noise as I work. Mike Hall is interviewing Craig Robinson, the NABC director, about Suits and Sneakers Week. Robinson also happens to be Michelle Obama's brother. So Hall asks: "I know there's one person everybody wants to ask you about, and while I don't want to follow that path, I'm gonna anyway ... what's your best Bill Carmody story?" Kinda made me chuckle.

  38. Holy **** look at the difference in his body. Stephen Daley (Indiana) would beat the absolute **** out of Stephen Daley (Kent State) even one-legged. (A little bit of that is him flexing in the second picture like before and after shots in infomercials, but not all)

  40. UCLA blocked 8 shots in the first half during Purdue's loss to them. UCLA then, in the 2nd half, took advantage of Purdue's errors. Illinois got a record-breaking 46 points from freshman Wagler. And they scored 18- 2nd half points on offensive rebounds. Seems that in the last 4 games Purdue is not playing like they had been. Rebounding and 3-point shooting are a focus right now. They had been hitting closer to 40%. In the last 4 games their 3-point shot have dropped at a clip of 33.3%. IU played much better defense in our win against Rutger. And IU hit 15 3-pointers and Dorn and Alexis stepped up big. What is going on with them? Seems Purdue's offensive execution and perimeter defense are both off. They also are lacking depth at key positions. Finally, the key just may be that opponents are effectively defending against PG Braden Smith. A 6'0" playmaker from Westfield, IN, Smith is known for elite passing, high basketball IQ, and scoring ability. As a junior (2024-25), he was a consensus first-team All-American, the Bob Cousy Award winner, and led Purdue to the 2024 National Championship game. But Purdue is not the same as last year. Are IU's guards athletic, quick and smart enough to slow Braden Smith? I know that IU is on a roll and Purdue still sux more each day. I cannot imagine lil bro standing tall at our place. POTFB!

  41. Luckily for us, with how stupid a large segment of college football media is, it’s likely that we’ll continue to be doubted next season by the same goobers who doubted us until the very end of this past season.

  42. We will lose games in the future. It won't change what happened this year, or what Indiana football has become. I believe in Cignetti. He's got the experience to lead. He has changed the culture. He has guys in place who understand the new Indiana culture - guys who cal lead and teach and perpetuate the new Indiana culture. And between Cig, his coaching staff and the leaders on the team, I have confidence that we will be just fine. It's true, we won't be sneaking up on anyone any more. But that's fine, too. It's who we are now. #neverDaunted
