  1. I never believed Livingstone, Marsh, Becker could really coexist.... I really didn't believe they could along with Cooper. Cooper, Marsh, and Becker can all be on the field together.

  4. Heard a couple of things I liked yesterday. 1) Joel Klatt said that IU/Mendoza have run the highest percentage of rpo’s in the nation. The team with the second highest percentage of rpo plays? TCU/Hoover !! Me likee. Even though Cig has shown that he can adapt the system to the QB there will be little need to adapt next year as Hoover should fit into the current system like a glove. 2) Jim Coyle knows Hoover from the first recruitment and he mentioned telling Hoover he would like him to be on his show. Hoovers response was that he would go on the show but not until IU’s season was over. Perfect answer/move by Hoover.

  5. The Oregon fan base is hard to hate. They seem like great fans much like what I’ve heard about Nebraska

  6. Sorry if already posted, this thread is moving fast. But, saw on another board, On3 prediction with 100% confidence for Texas frosh WR Parker Livingstone to IU.

  7. ESPN reports even higher viewership numbers than Yahoo did (22.5M). Maybe they include McAfee simulcast or something. Regardless, The Rose Bowl was tops and IU is draw. And I like the idea of keeping this thread alive awhile longer…

  9. And not having to endure the Oregon crowd noise is not a small thing. Also…hopefully the refs don’t allow the Oregons DL to jump around again. That illlegal movement, combined with the noise, should be two factors our offense won’t have to deal with in Atlanta

  10. I think it's 80%+ IU down in ATL, though, I really do.

  11. I’ve also watched him a bunch (not as much as Mailman, but am a Valley Guy also) and I think it’s both. He’s seeing better athletes in-conference and he’s definitely not moving like he used to. Obviously was never explosive, but he just kinda……lumbers. It seems like he’s been injured for the last 3 years. He was beat up big time their last year at Drake. Still think if we go anywhere it’ll be on his shoulders in one way or another. They need to get him going.

  12. It's not just B1G athletes. The two games prior to this against Chicago State and Siena, he took a total of 20 threes and only 5 twos. That's a significant change in his shot diet compared to earlier in his career. I am certain you watched him play at Drake more than I did. I wasn't expecting him to be a super athlete, but I was expecting a version of Tucker closer to what we saw vs Marquette. A shooter but also someone who can score inside via smart cutting and attacking closeouts.

  13. Good chance he's back as of right now

  14. If IU is to make the tourney then in my opinion it will be Tucker getting them there. He is in a shooting slump right now but that can change in a second. Loyer was 11-41 going into their last game after his hot start to the season where he couldn’t miss. He found his stroke again the other night. I’ve watched Tucker his whole career. He is a really good college player just not explosive in any form.

  16. Just can't get enough IUFB content these days. Was in-office (in Portland) yesterday before the Davison news broke. Ducks were all relatively optimistic but not expecting to win. It's funny because it's an uno reverse of the lead-up in October where I expected us to lose just because we were evenly matched and no one wins in Autzen but Washington and Oregon. Lot of discussion about problems with our silent count and the need for our O-line to have a stellar game if we wanted to win. This time around, they feel like the game is going to come down to their O-line and what they learned from facing Haines once already. They share a belief they can win if Moore has time to throw and they get the run game going to keep us honest. Looking forward to going back in on Thursday to see how things have changed.

  17. I am very skeptical that Coop will stay, but Cooper in the slot and Marsh and Becker wide would be insane.

  20. Just remember that even we didn’t know who Charlie Becker was the first time we played Oregon.

  21. worried after we won by 10 on the road? And made two MASSIVE mistakes, directly leading to 14pts for Oregon. Keep them away from the big play... on both sides of the ball, and I like our shot. Worried about the pass rush, though.

  22. Totally normal to be anxious when there's only 4 teams left and two games before somebody plays for a national title. I was worried before Bama and very pleasantly surprised. Won't be an easy road, but I think Cig has this group peaking at the right time.

  23. For me, I think we get Tucker and Ferrell back, I’d imagine Cooper/Smith/Ponds are all gone though.

  24. At worst Cooper is a late day 2 guy unless he just bombs testing. He’s listed above Sarratt in big boards I’ve seen. I’d be kinda floored if he’s back. And that room would be insane.

  25. Becker, Marsh, Livingstone, Morris, Chandler, Bond. We have five receivers that currently play, and four that play a lot so I suppose it’s entirely possible. oh my.

  32. Ours or theirs? I’ve been watching the ticket sites and it looks that way. Demand looks about 30-50% higher on the IU side. Oregon would be the case for why another round should be played on campuses. In the (hopefully very unlikely) event they play in the title game you’re asking their fans to travel cross country to Miami, ATL, and Miami again in consecutive weeks.

Definitely a hodgepodge. Quinn never played on the same roster as Woody, Ray, or Zeeke. Benson never played with Zeke or Ray.

  35. He had a long lingering ankle injury his last year at Drake. He moves like he still has it, whether he does or not. And whether it's age or something else, he's certainly put on some freight without upgrading the motor.

  36. I’m going to disagree with USPS and Hov. I think if we’re going somewhere it’ll be on the back of Wilkerson. He shook off a slow start and carried the team a little that second half. He’s getting more comfortable with the athleticism at this level and getting into the lane a bit more where he’s actually a pretty good passer. He had 17 shots to Tuckers 7. 8FTs vs 0. And played 39 min to Tuckers 31. Tucker needs to still move off the ball and be the worlds most dangerous spot up shooter. But him doing anything with the ball in his hands is a chore.

  38. Sure would like to see us pick up an OL if Smith goes (I’d like an additional stud OL even if Smith stays). That being said…..if Cig says we don’t need any OL at all, because we are going to start a QB, RB and 9 receivers, I would reply “In Cig I trust”.

  39. This game is a matchup game. Need the LBs and Boykin to be in the run fits and allow less than 5 broken tackles. Need Evans/Lynch/Coogan to handle the DTs. Don’t allow deep passes, as that’s when Moore is lethal. He’s the best in the country at deep pass %. Thankfully we are the best zone defense in the country. That highlights the importance of the LBs dominating the run game to keep pressure off the DBs. Offensive playmakers: Hemby and Nowakowski will need to be great pressure release valves for Mendoza. If one of these two has a huge game multiple receptions I believe IU rolls. IU had a great pressure rate the first meeting, if they above 40% again I say IU 27-Oregon 10
