My own preference would be some more big experienced O-linemen.  I don’t know if that’s totally a position of need, but depth there would be nice.  Give me 3 or 4 more Coogans.

Always need depth on the lines. Problem there is so does everyone else. I'd say DB is thin. Any NFL guys know if Ponds projects well for the draft this year? Clearly production says yes but measurables probably tell another story.

Measurement isnt great but everything else is. Kiper has him.as 8th ranked CB. I have seen several mocks that have him graded in the 2nd/3rd round. My guess is he goes. 

We probably have 5 early entrant candidates. 

Mendoza (gone)

Ponds (likely gone)

Cooper (I would guess gone but idk)

Smith (50/50)

Ferrell (50/50)

Guessing is futile, but for fun I will say we keep 1 or 2 of these guys for next year. Would love to hear other opinions though.

Quite possible. I trust Cig and Shanahan with the evaluation of whatever the portal provides.

He’d be flat out crazy to turn down IU if we are pursuing him. Not sure about the veracity of “Wilson F. Ball” though lol.

Mestemaker would be an incredible get. Feels like a long shot but he would thrive here.

Mestemaker seems to have both the experience and completion % that the staff would covet in the portal, but curious if he follows Morris. Former walk-on who hadn't played QB since his freshman year of high school and never played QB for this varsity squad in HS, might be keen on following Morris to OKSt.

No idea if he'll portal, but would be interested to see if IU would target Mensah out of Duke. 2 year starter (1 year at Tulane, 1 year at Duke). Lot of snaps and decent numbers. Would be a RS JR this next fall.
