You have to promise it won‘t be as bad as last time we both took a bucket list trip to see the Hoosiers.

It can’t go worse, right? I’m headed to the Palestra in January. If that also goes poorly, maybe I’m just bad at bucket list trips to see the Hoosiers and I’ll let you try Eugene on your own.

#9 in the first CFP, hypothetically against Tennessee

Probably as good a jumping off point as we could reasonably hope for. Go beat Michigan with the bye week after and all those SEC teams beating each other up for the next couple  of weeks creates a pretty nice path.

I get a sense that Ducks fans wouldn’t be nearly as sweet as KU fans. That could sour things in a hurry regardless of outcome.

Agree, but if we lose at OSU we might need a bit of help. I don't see Penn State losing another game but if they could that would be glorious, and like you said SEC schools will eliminate each other.

Just saw that 2025 season tickets went on sale. Went to check on renewing and...wow. Prices went up astronomically.

My tier was $220 per seat for 8 games ($27.50/game) this season. Same tier for 7 games next season is $343 per seat...$49 per game. With 3 of those almost certainly being dog-walkings. Get paid while the getting is good, but my goodness.

I realize it’s apples vs oranges but UM’s season tickets started at $660 and most seating zones have an extra mandatory roughly $800 “donation” (1,400-1,500 all-in).

MSU was $343 for 7 home games (ironically, or maybe not, the exact same as IU’s 7 games next  year)

OSU, depending on seating zone, ranged from $623-1,397 plus a mandatory donation. The $1,397 zone seats required an extra $1,500 donation. (Ie nearly 3k all-in). The revenue they earn, in a 110,000 seat stadium, is insane.

The thing that surprised me is that they showed us with an 86% chance of making the playoff even if we lose to OSU. If we lose to UM our chances drop to 27%.  Take care of business Saturday and we are looking good.

So, the reality is, if you give up your daily Starbucks at $6-7.00 a day, this is feasible.

Priorties, people! Priorities!

We hear a lot about SEC team's strength of schedule. Check out Tennessee's schedule. I am not impressed. Other than Georgia and Alabama it is weak. And they lost to a bad Arkansas team.

This is absolutely surreal.  This is so different than the Covid year.  There we were kinda skating by and the naysayers were pointing to it and the rest of the college football world kinda went “they have a point”.  Now we are dominating and the naysayers are finding new reasons and the rest of the college football world is asking “are the naysayers blind”.

Spent the morning listening to breakdowns of the rankings released yesterday btw.

Only challenge left is at Minnesota, but that might be enough. I'm not sold on PSU.
