The follow up tweet just reinforcing that the freshmen don't add post depth so the portal will "remain under consideration" as in we'll continue evaluating options, including possibly Euros. 

I don't see Ryan Carr adding dead weight like Ristic or Andrej to the roster.

Doubt they're taking a break for milk and cookies. 

You mean people here overreacted to something?  No way.  BTW the staff deserves some milk and cookies after the past couple days.  Maybe even throw in some ice cream.

It makes me wonder if they are waiting to fulfill those spots for that very reason. They knew it was coming down the pipeline so makes sense to save spots for those situations. I also hope Tucker doesn’t come back because I do think he was part of the chemistry problems when dynamic all of a sudden changed in middle of season

It actually doesn't make sense because we wasted two spots last year hoping Leal and Goode would get an extra year when they didn't, so this would mean we didn't learn from that mistake. 

 

Also, no one seems to realize this, but teams get 15 scholarships now instead of 13.

Yeah but coaches want to keep it at 13 because if they go over 13 it messes with the revenue sharing from the school or at least at IU is why they keep it at 13

Yeah, they aren't done looking. They moved swiftly and bagged the priority guys and can now step back, take in the whole roster without the "if" hanging on to their vision, and put finishing touches on the team as they see fit. 

Plus getting 6 P4 signings in a week where you're competing with other big market players had to be exhausting. Mental gymnastics morning to night;  I'm sure they need a break. They do in fact deserve their milk and cookies.

Rabyspeak is in part being driven by the fact that this staff doesn't leak information.  Andershock admitted the other day that Samet was a hint he picked up just very shortly before the announcement and Lindsay was a total surprise to both Trevor and Raby.

Last year felt thrown together and random. This year feels calculated and serious. I appreciate those players, however....

Rabjohns doubled down today on Hoosier Hysterics. Said the 11th spot is a backup big and spots 12 and 13 are practice players that they expect to be better than Walk ons. 
 

I guess we find out how locked in Rabjohns is.

pretty logical stuff when you look at the rest of the roster. I don't think he/anyone would need inside info to throw poop at a wall here and get that right.

12th and 13th roster spots are basically always break-the-glass-in-case-of-emergency practice players IMO.

If those guys play in real games it usually means you're in some kind of trouble.

They still need at least 2 bigs that can be help if injuries or foul trouble happen.  You don't want to go into the season with only 2 bigs + Sisley 

They also need a shooter and a ball handler if/when injuries happen.
