Note on a couple of. The bigs listed here:

Both Coleman-Lands and Sissoko very recently visited San Diego State.  Sissoko has 3 more visits lined up, all in the West.  Would assume he ends up out west.

Would be pretty surprising if both of those kids don’t get more substantial roles than are available behind Ballo.

Pringle is a bit of a head case

From watching several games I would agree he Seemed like a guy that may have a bit of a ‘tude problem

I brought up Coleman-Jones (Coleman-Lands to his friends) because I thought he might be versatile enough to play with Ballo as well as back him up.  A stretch 4 with the length and strength to defend the rim could get more than 15 minutes a game backing up two positions and allow IU to bring in a more talented player.

Those who are wary of playing two "bigs" at the same time should be wary of Ballo breaking his foot in the second game of the season and having to start a guy who was just hoping to find a school to offer him 10 or 15 minutes a game.  Losing Ware for just two games in the middle of the season probably cost IU the Illinois game and MSU's invite to the NCAA tournament.

The alternative would be starting Reneau with only five fouls to go up against Steven Crowl, Danny Wolf, Aaron Bradshaw, Nathan Bittle, Matthew Nicholson and three or four other seven-footers in the Big Ten ranks.  Not all of them will be world beaters but using up his fouls trying to push these guys away from the lane will put him on the bench.

What happens if Reneau gets injured?  Don't get me wrong, I do like the idea of putting Mgbako at the 4 situationally to exploit match ups.  However, until he shows he can guard a big forward in the B1G consistently I don't like the thought of the Hoosiers being one injury away from him getting all of his minutes there.

All of that being said, I like your wish casting concerning Baye Fall, Demo.  I don't know anything about the kid's situation or character but there's a lot to like there.

I hope you didn’t jinx us with these two statements, we’ve had enough bad luck pertaining to this program to last us a lifetime, we don’t need anymore bad ju ju!!!  lol!  ;) ;)

so you're saying his attitude is a little... chippy?...

Obviously just my personal opinion. Yes, maybe a bit chippy, but that’s not the end of the world.  My perception was more just how well he can he fit into a full team chemistry.  Is he an overall add, or an overall subtract.

Tobi Lawal from VCU still intrigues the hell out of me.  Godlike bounce.  He's a 4 and not a traditional center -- not going to body up against 5's as he's a slender 6'8" but definitely is a rim protector and plus rebounder.

Hate to keep harping on the kid -- I shared a highlight video of him in the general transfer portal thread.  Below is a different one -- it's from high school and it's mostly dunks and blocks.  But check out the dunk at about the 5 second mark and see if it doesn't remind you of a very famous missed dunk (except Lawal makes it).

There is a southern Illinois sports page I follow on FB, Area Sports net. They are reporting Goode has committed. I have seen it no where else, so I can't verify it

He visits tomorrow, so think it's just a matter of time before it's official.

My goodness Toibu Lawal would be so much fun to watch. He could electrify the Assembly Hall crowd. Bring him in the developmental role and sign Nikita or Baye Fall to back up Ballo.

I don’t see him taking a developmental role — he averaging 19 mpg, 7.7 pts and 6 reb at VCU as a sophomore.
