On Sherrell... not sure whether it's true he wants to be a 4. Seems like he could be a 4 on offense and defend the 5. Would be nice to pair him with a good offensive rebounder who is switchable outside on D.

Yes. Need multiple big bodies, and ones that can play along side each other. Florida two years ago and Michigan this past season shows where this sport is heading. Sherrell would be a tremendous piece but only a start. Sherrell with 4 guards or an unathletic, undersized forward like Tucker would really lower the ceiling for next years team. Need to start stacking bigs.

Would be awesome. Shoots close to 44% on 3s and takes more than 7 of them per game.

Brumbaugh would be great because he can play pg or the wing. He's probably off the table now. Hall to compete with the other 2 wings could happen

3 bigs, 3 wings and 2 pgs is a Big Ten competitive rotation. Sherrell makes this very interesting.  Again going back to my Maryland comparison. We have our Gilespi, Rice and Siguel. Sherrell as a Jr can be our Queen, now let's get our Reece and some depth.

Maybe I was too critical of DeVries last year. Sure, the team stunk and failed to meet “Indiana” expectations; however, I keep thinking back to how he did somehow win 9 games with the second hardest schedule in B1G play. I’m beginning to give him the benefit of the doubt…

Seems like alot of people did for some reason. It's almost as if folks forgot the timeline that he had to work with last year. I went into the season with no expectations and even though they played at times like they could make it to the tourney, I wasn't disappointed that they didn't. I think he did what he could with what guys he was able to scrounge together in a hurry last year. This year, however, I'll really start to grade him as he's had an entire offseason with IU to recruit the players he wants in his system. Time will tell if he can make it at this level

The way the game’s played now it’s pretty much just a semantic distinction anyway. Kid wants to be a 4? Fine, introduce him as a 4. He’s still gonna play within the dictates of the system no matter where he ends up. And other than Kohler’s 3’s last year Izzo had both of those kids playing a completely traditional 5 role.
