Transfer Portal w/IU Interest

Duke boards increasingly feeling like only Cam Boozer and Isaiah Evans are declaring with Khamenia and Harris the only transfers out. Good chance they’re a complete non factor in Sherrell and it is just down to IU closing the deal before he leaves for E Lansing tomorrow.

On Sherrell... not sure whether it's true he wants to be a 4. Seems like he could be a 4 on offense and defend the 5. Would be nice to pair him with a good offensive rebounder who is switchable outside on D.

The one thing it isn't: A negative sign. 

A guy like Sherrell following walk-ons can only be positive.  It might not mean he ends up here, maybe he's a chronic follower of players on teams of schools he visits and it doesnt mean much.  But it's never a bad thing for a player on a visit to follow players already on the team.

I'm almost glad that they are all gone. Maybe it's a true admission by Devries that his roster was just massively undertalented and not at all salvagable. You've got to have the jimmies and joes and it was clear pretty early in the season that IU just didn't have that.

Guy-Marc Michel? I know Crean signed him and he was ultimately ruled ineligible but since there are no rules now maybe we can get him eligible.

Guy had a front-row seat to a lot of bad basketball last year. Seems like he wasn’t naive to the deficiencies up and down the roster

For Fun, let's say we add Burton and Sherrell.  That would leave 5 more open spots to fill.  For me you have to have a least another PG back up and 1 or 2 more bigs. What else??

The best mix IMO would be a point guard, a combo forward, two bigs and best athlete available.

Best part about getting both is it would likely snowball into other talented dudes fighting to be on the team and we can take our pick
