I've been wearing my IU gear also but I've been wearing my unlucky IU gear. It might have caused a reverse jinx

In my opinion Dolson has 2 options

1) Take the risk of firing Woodson, who 99.9% of people know isn’t the guy. And swing for a guy like Dusty who could rocket ship the IU program back. 
 

or

2) Stand by Woodson. Given another season and risk his own head getting chopped for backing Mw longer than he should have.

Obviously Woodson has the huge ego, but at this point, if he knows he doesn’t have anything lined up for next year yet and completely struck out on recruits, had Liam decommit, etc…if Dolson slid him a check and said here we can make this smooth, go enjoy retirement, hopefully he’d be ok with something like that. If he’s not ok with that then hopefully Dolson says, well here take it anyway, get out, I’ve got my guy lol

My boss actually commented on my black IU quarter zip the other day. Said "i like that black zip, never seen you wear black IU before"
I said it was for "their funeral" haha

I think he's done no matter what after next season. That is just my opinion with a little of what I have heard mixed in.

Plus Woodson knows he'd have to hit multiple home runs in the portal, in addition to retaining the guys on his roster that he wants back.

It seems the plan is that they have better contacts with agents now plus more NIL $ and are confident they are going to land even better players from the portal.  Woodson and the staff have had success with these short term recruitments but has not had success evaluating his teams needs.  So I think there will be a plan presented and unless they get into the weeds on which positions, which style of play and how to build long-term Woody will be able to show enough for next year not to get fired.  Dolson has to look past the short term side of this and evaluate the long term health of the basketball team.

It just baffles my mind that instead of spending money on getting a good coach now for the future, certain people would rather just spend money to help Woodson try to cover up his flaws as a coach by essentially buying him a team to try to make him look good. Just ridiculous and pathetic. Especially with the way Woodson acts. Get him the heck outta here.

IU will have to make a decision next year.   You can’t have a coach with 2 years remaining on a contract going into a recruiting cycle without an extension or plan to move on.   We all know the jokes about Woody not recruiting high school kids but no program should go into year 5 without extending a coach or making it clear you are moving on.   In my opinion next year will be his last year regardless of results.  If Woody gets a year 5 he is going to get an extension which in my opinion would be a program killer decision.  He could make a sweet 16 next year and the right move would be moving on.  Should be this year but it is what it is

Just my two cents...but with no 2024 recruits and no 2025 recruits and IF next season was his last season, why let him coach this season. Like there is no reason to give him another.
