Nothing will happen anytime soon. That’s just realistic.
Can’t wait to see us move on from Woodson but would bet that will come in the form of “retirement” at end of season.

Have to think though that Dolson is gettIng more active in the new coach search

20 would be better than the 22 point loss average we’re at now.

is that getting over the hump?

I really hope someone sticks a mic in Buckners face at some point. His legacy needs to take a hit for this too.

Reporter: Quinn, why did you force Scott Dolson to give Mike Woodson a fourth year when most of the fan base knew it wouldn't work out?

Buckner: Young fella, don't give it like that!  Hoo-hoo!

Who has that video of Buckner doing a goofy dance in the IU locker room during I think Mike's second season around March, maybe when they punched their ticket or won 1st round game? Was he also eating a sandwich or something... I remember it being pretty ridiculous lol. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

Crean was a victim of the “high expectations,” Woody and Co. haven’t done enough to use that excuse. Making that excuse would imply you’re doing well enough that people should be less rabid. Crean getting canned a year after winning the B1G outright is an example of our program and fans believing Sweet Sixteens isn’t good enough.

Trying to slough off the fans while getting dog walked is pathetic.

Not going to rehash the Crean dismissal, but there were all sorts of red flags besides the sweet 16 losses which showed the program was trending down and justified the decision.  He was kind of a bumbling, fumbling, dude.   My understanding is he was a little "corny" and "goofy" to work with.  Add the in-state recruiting issues, the "Creaning" (which is expected now with the portal), and his lack of defensive balance, off the court issues, etc., you could make a case for letting him go and trying to step up to someone better.  Problem is IU spit the bit and didn't go with someone better.  In hindsight, the Crean dismissal may have been a mistake.

But, Tom Crean is a perfect example that even a marginal coach with the right attributes can have some success at IU.  Imagine what could happen with a good to great coach.

(PS: Not bashing Crean.  I am grateful that he took the job when IU was facing the abyss and got us back on the map.  I thought he did a very good job from where he started.  Just couldn't sustain it.  Definitely deserves our respect.)

So the twitter burners have mentioned some "health issues" with the team as a "reason" why they aren't playing well.  I assume it's deeper than Malik's injury.  Any insight?

I saw someone say on the Inside The Hall website board comments “there’s a student boycott coming for the Maryland home game…just FYI”.

I guess Woodson wouldn't have to worry about the fire chant and boos at that game as much if that's the case.

Yea I agree with you, unfortunately if it starts looking like we are going to get 20 pieced by UM, I would say it’s almost a forgone conclusion the students chant for Dusty.
Michigan will eat us alive.

Not only that he convinced really naive boosters to pony up 6 million.

Tom Crean personally signed a slightly drunk Freshman Capt. Crimson up for season tickets at a football game. Walking around by himself with a clipboard introducing himself to the students. He was willing to grind to get us where he did under his tenure. I still think we found our peak under him but I think he did a pretty good job all things considered.

So February 3rd of last year. After the Hoosiers lost to Penn State (10-11 before that game) at home for their 9th loss of the season. At that point, IU had just lost 6 of 9 games. Yeah, he doesn't care. That's as bad as the Woodson wine and cigars picture after a loss.

That's a mighty nice purse Quinn has there.

For the life of me, I can’t understand why Coach Woodson’s “broken record” response to IU’s poor play is ALWAYS “I gotta get these guys playing better….”, “I gotta do this….”, I gotta get them better…”!!!! We are over half way through the season and he still lacks visibile and notable improvements! What the h*ll is he doing in practice each day? This seems like the team has TOTALLY checked out and have stopped believing in Coach Woodson, at least the majority of them.
What boss of a business would continue to let an employee continue to perform and get those same results and make those same excuses without being confronted and most likely fired? JMO

Unfortunately I think we have a group of guys that just want their paychecks. They could care less about IU.

Is there any way to make NIL performance based? That would be nice.
