lol and TJDs first Woody team actually holds the dubious distinction of having the the worst Coach Woodson era loss. 29 points, St. Mary’s R64. I’ll say this for Woody, he’s consistent. I think we rose color the TJD years due to how atrocious Archieball was. The Woody Warts have been here from the jump.

Is that something a Dermatologist cream can get rid of, or will it take a pill like the one to get rid of herpes

Current state of IU BB….

Yea.  Other way I think about it is IUBB is fast car: could be on the front row at Indy, it’s a Ferrari, whatever fast car you want to pick.  We just need a driver.

Woody can barely shift gears and he usually crashes during the race.

Purdue is beating the tar out of Nebraska early up 22-7, looks a lot like Iowa vs. us yesterday. Purdue is probably gonna destroy this team. Woodson has been really bad against them without TJD

Purdue is playing harder up 32 with 5 minutes left than we have at any moment in two years

My prediction: Woody will resign on Sunday, March 16, 2025.

Just after the Big Ten Tournament Championship game and after the NCAAT seeding is announced.  Probably before 8 PM ET.  If that does not happen then...just turn out the lights of SSAH.

We will see if this administration is serious about basketball in the next two months.

If we continue to lose, which we will, I think he announces his retirement no later than February 1st.

That's the only way he can save himself from the fans relentlessly booing him while Dusty's UM team is tearing us a new hole.

Hey now, we started playing solid full court press defense last night down 30.

It was truly embarrassing to watch with the game that well in hand.

Forget booing the King, start a Dusty Maaaayyyy (clap clap...clap clap clap!) chant

That's the definition of hurt.

Honestly, would it be a bad thing to see Dusty come in and beat us at home? Rest assured many of us will be watching that game to see the dynamics.

I listened to Assembly Call while going on a long walk today. As a public service, for those of you that don’t have the time to listen to the 1+ hour podcast, I will provide a detailed summary:

-embarrassing performance and number of blowouts

-no fight and poor effort

-out coached

-change is needed

-we suck

Thank you for saving us an hour of our time, definitely seems like they are stating the obvious and it could have been a 1 minute podcast

I guess hypothetically it's fine to not fire or retire woodson until after the illinois game. Winning it will do little to give me faith we are on track. However if we get beat soundly at home it will confirm we are off track with little hope of getting back on. Day after illinois game he should go!!!

And purely FWIW, at that time, Archie was considered an up and coming coach.  Unfortunately he turned out to be a down and outing coach.

Absolutely correct. Three B1G coaches were hired that year, Archie, Holtmann and Underwood. Consensus was that Archie was a can't miss home run, Holtmann was a good hire and the biggest question was Underwood. Eight years later, Archie and Holtmann are at Rhode Island and DePaul and Underwood has one of the top teams in the B1G. So much for consensus.

Can we clone him?

Ha.  If we replaced Woody with Cig and Cig was just sort of a CEO of the assistants and team, we would probably do better than the current setup.  The Cig basics of accountability, not compromising standards, no self-imposed limitations, etc. would likely do wonders for this team, which currently has no such leadership.

Here’s my opinion. Blast away if you feel the need.

Woodson’s overall philosophy on offense is wrong and has been shown to be so over the last few games. However he is a decent X’s and O’s coach. He has also shown that he can develop big guys.

Asking seriously, not trolling - how do you see this? What moves/countermoves can you give us an example of?
