I could get behind that

I'd make Walsh and Hulls co head coaches to finish the season.  Although I know IU would never do such a thing after firing the King with Ya, Hunter, and Hill still around because...optics.

Walsh is the lowest assistant and Jordy just don't have any experience. I do think Jordy will move up when Kenya takes over

There’s already a guy on staff that has experience as a D1 head coach.

;)

I wonder how many energy drinks it would take for him to stay awake for an entire game

I have not heard of a timetable yet but yes I think there is a good chance of that. I don't think Woodson will coach at home again. I think the rumors are true and there is a plan going forward after tonight.

I will be honest with you Chris, I don't think I would want to coach again at home either. It will most likely be a bloodbath from the fans....that's just me.

I kind of disagree.  Sometimes you need less chiefs and more indians.  If you can find a place for him to fit, having a guy like that is a net plus.

Oh, for sure. There are great career assistants and they’re gold. Norm Roberts is a perfect example. But they better be relentless workers who help create that culture of work and I don’t think he’s that, though obviously Woody doesn’t exactly contribute to that either. Calbert story: When he was on Crews’ staff at SLU, Crews would actually make fun of him in press conferences. Stuff like, “Can’t believe I’m here talking to you guys and Calbert’s already home.”  Obviously he was kidding, but that always stuck with me.

The ironic thing about Mgbako liking that tweet -

Woodson giving Mgbako some bench time recently for poor effort and shot selection is actually one of my favorite coaching moves he has made.

After almost 4 years, even Woodson was bound to get one right eventually.

I wonder if some of the players have made it to the point where they don’t care about winning these next couple games if it means Woody will be out the door. Maybe they aren’t on board with Woody anymore and have packed it in…I mean heck, Mackenzie liked a post that said “Fire Woodson”, haha. They have just been playing like they don’t give a crap at all lately (more so than normal). If this ends up being Woodson’s last game if they play poorly enough, they have to know that right?

You can't hire him, institute a zero tolerance policy, and then be surprised when he continues to do what he's always done. Do what you can to minimize it (e.g., give him a full-time driver) and keep it out of the public.

A zero tolerance policy would do more harm than good because then you have to enforce it when he inevitably screws up.

I'd also be inclined to hire him, but that could change if I learned the severity of the alcoholism / domestic abuse is worse than what we know.

I'm on the record of being against even considering Beard... and I know that zero tolerance is at best a placebo... my post was very much tongue-in-cheek. Sorry if that wasn't clear.

All these posts speculating that a midseason change is coming.

Such visceral reactions, wholly based on emotions.

In no way, shape or form does that follow the process.

Folks, it's a linear journey, with a rigid proscribed set of waypoints, leading, without exception, to a logical and predictable conclusion.

This is not even a January action item!!!

If this is the case, I can actually see the troops rallying and iu wins

(or loses by 24)
