Well, if you're like me and also a fan of the Bears, it's on to the next coaching search. Being an IU basketball and football fan, and also a Bears fan, I'm more of a coaching search fan these days than a sports fan. I get pumped every time there's a sliver of hope with a new coach coming. Pathetic I know.

Hells yeah! I'd say this an A hire for IU. Shout out to[mention=6234]Lebowski[/mention] for bringing his name up quite awhile ago. I dismissed it because I assumed he'd get a bigger/better job. If nothing else this signifies that IU is finally taking football seriously. Now as others have said we need to do a lot more in regards to facilities upgrades and NIL. Happy

Same team. I also recall how incredibly hot it was. 

Remarkably. Then being charged $5 for tap water that my wife spent all of half time and 3rd quarter waiting in line for. If IUFB gets to those levels consistently they have some logistics work to do.

I've never felt this optimistic for IUFB in a long time. I know that can change in a hurry. Coach Cig has his biggest challenge of his entire coaching career ahead of him, but I like that he's holding the keys to drive the IUFB bus. He'll get it rolling, one day at time. And I'm really happy about this. I'm happy Dolson made the decision to go and get this type of coach.

This is awesome!  This seems like a great hire.  I haven't been this excited about IU football since we fired Bill Mallory!  Or maybe since we hired Cam Cameron!  Or fired Cam Cameron!  Or hired Gerry DiNardo!  Or fired Gerry DiNardo!  Or fired Bill Lynch!  Or fired Tom Allen!

IU football may have had disaster seasons for decades, but it's had entertaining offseasons.

Yeah, I read the one call it an awful place and my first thought was they clearly haven't seen Bloomington.

I saw JMU released a statement by him. Obviously he thanked JMU for his time there and how proud he was of what they accomplished, and then ended it with “This is a challenge…but I’m confident as a head coach that we’re going to open some eyes nationally and in the Big Ten conference..”

It’s a bad 3 weeks to be a coffee pot in wherever tf JMU is and Bloomington. This also probably means he has a good chunk of staff ready to roll.

I'd think he's probably bringing a lot of his current staff with him. I think one of his coordinators has been with him for a while.
