So if you had these stats before tip-off yesterday how confident would you be in a relatively comfortable IU win?

IU outrebounded 46-30.

PU FT advantage 33-12

TJD scoreless in the first half, finishes with 10pts.

IU has 2 bench points.

I'd have guessed a 20 pt loss, easily!

You could have added JHS having 35 points and I’m still not sure people would have guessed a win

It is pretty shocking looking at all the normal stats that usually reflect the outcome and it is all in the Boilers favor except for the final score

it was one of the more odd wins but one of the best ones I can recall

I noticed one poster absent in this thread. Arguably our biggest win in years. He’s always around during the losses. He WOOFS a lot

Not sure if this is a shot at me or not.  Either way, I had my entire family of about 30 people over for the game. A bunch of IU alumni and yes this was a top 10 game experience for me because I gave us virtually no shot to win this one.  JHS was HIM which was awesome to watch and the impact this makes on seeding is huge.

Easy boy, easy.  Pretty sure you weren't the target.

What’s even more odd is that, at least to me, once we got up 6 early in the second half I never really felt like we were in danger of losing. Just an odd game. Our guards completely dominated Purdue’s.

100% spot on.  My brother’s plane landed at 5 pm in Indy for a week long visit.  First game we’ve got to watch together in about 20 years.  Midway in the 2nd half he said, I have no idea how we are winning (meaning due to the stats).  I agreed and said but yet I don’t feel like we’re in danger of losing.
