By the way, with this NIL crap, aren’t fans stakeholders?  And aren’t stakeholders entitled to answers in which Woodson doesn’t want to answer.   Seems a bit defensive if you ask me.

It does suggest an arrogance.

I just listen to it!  I thought what Brian Evan’s said was spot on and it correlates with the rant that Kent Sterling had.  Most of the fans are thinking it too.  That fact that Woodson never dealt with Johnson’s other issues or Mgbako’s, tells us a lot.  According to him it was dealt with internally, well shouldn’t you be more transparent than that?

I'm sure Evans did a good job, I'm not wasting my time listening to him. I just wonder why he is the person the media always goes to talk down about a coach. or a player or the program. He loves IU, but he sent his kids to different schools. Just glad they got him in the afternoon before he got going. Wonder if he is still begging companies to hire his family. Sorry just not a fan.

He wasn't happy and he's right. No body was pursuing Woodson when we hired him. With the lack of discipline and accountability you'd never know he played for Bob Knight.

He says Johnson needs to do better, but doesn't hold him accountable. He had 5 TOs before that stupid stunt that got him ejected, a 6th year guy doing that, but he'll start next game and play 30 minutes guaranteed. The staff should expect and demand better of him than that. They should've expected better than sneaking out of the hotel as a 4th year guy.  Johnson pulling crap like that sets a bad example and not being held accountable shows it's acceptable.

Evans called Woody out, and rightly so. Nothing he said was not true. Woodson's arrogance is showing, and, frankly, he's lost my respect. Dammit, Woody, just go play golf.

Yep... X is one of 2 team captains and with all of his shenanigans, we can't understand why there's no leadership evident on this team...

Neither did hillman and hillman was the biggest cheerleader ever for hiring an iu guy. But I think hillman realizes he did not get what he thought he was getting now Look I want Woodson to succeed another new coaching search would suck. I am just not seeing any foundation or culture to build on.

Where can I find the Hillman interview

Woody’s personality, at least what we see from him in the media and such, does seem a little grating/arrogant. He also seems to be a little lazy from the stories we’ve heard. He doesn’t come across as an high energy guy. Almost like he likes having the IU head coaching title but doesn’t care for the day to day grind. And hey, I don’t blame him. He turns 66 in two months. Nearing retirement age. A year-round like the IU job doesn’t give you the relaxation you may want after a long career.

Not all 65 year olds are the same. Some love to work and will grind until they die (or close to it). Others want to kick back and relax. Neither is “wrong,” but only one matches the P5 head coach job description.

I don't think anyone is rooting for him to fail. Just that there's a serious changes that need to be made and there's no signs of that happening, and if he won't even answer questions about his line change substitutions that clearly don't work then why would he change anything.

I never said IU would; with the holier than thou crap they love to pull I know they wouldn't.

Holier than thou? The guy has show cause orders and multiple infractions. Maybe you’re not familiar with his background. There’s a reason he’s at Auburn. He’s a good coach. He’s also a straight cheater

I’ll have to give him a listen bc I can’t imagine anyone being worse than Dakich.

Really no such thing as cheating anymore.  Most things are legal.

As I said I'm just not a fan. Evans the person is a lot like the player. He cares about himself. The first bit of adversity he's the first person saying burn it down and start over. Then 2-3 years later he's back out there saying burn it down, start over. Believe me, he's not putting up the money to buy a coach out or paying money for the new coach or NIL money. I'm not sure any of the guys he played with, still like him. I know one for sure that doesn't.

Not a fan because of his take on a program he spent 5 years building on blood, sweat & tears? Or because of some other family issues non of us really care about? Systemic problems like players in trouble without getting disciplined lead to nutt shots and further embarrassment from a six year senior captain. Let’s get to the real heart of Indiana’s problems in year 3 of Woodson era where poor behavior and play gets promoted instead of arrests or turnovers get bench time.

Is it you? Are you the former teammate? Don't lie Chris007 if that even is your real name!
