But that still is an option. Jasper said he wasn't reclassifying right now doesn't mean he's not in the spring. Jasper the 25 recruit is 4 months older than Boogie. He's going to reclassify, he just said that because Cal asked him too.

That’s the way this staff ended up wanting to recruit this class.  They had opportunity after opportunity to land kids that could have been layup recruitments and decided they wanted to go after the top of the class.   My guess is if they would have  landed Powell, Burgess and Perry many would have been on here sighing and mad they didn’t go after top  talent.   The staff decided to go all  in on these 3 kids.  They could have landed other top 50 and even top 30 kids if they would have pushed.   I worry about a lot of dumb stuff but this staffs recruiting isn’t one of them.  Even if they miss out on these next 2 I’m confident enough in this staff in the spring and the portal to figure it out.    Landing a 5 star top shooter of the class shouldn’t be lost just because they potentially miss out on the others.    Not every day a program gets that kind of talent

I'm feeling confident he's ours. He set his commitment date immediately after Liam committed to IU, and that speaks volumes. 

The week leading up to every recruitment decision follows the same path: feeling confident, uh oh some random guy posts something we don't like so he's going somewhere else, then more tea leaves.

You are so right.  It's always a rollercoaster. I will say we IU fans are not used to being in these 5-star recruiting battles.

They better get use to it with this staff.   Woody isnt backing down to anyone.  Kind of refreshing knowing you have a staff that will take risks no matter who they are going against.

And then backfill with the portal or decommits if it doesn't work out.

Seems like a completely solid strategy to me, and I don't see criticism of it generally among the fanbase. It just makes sense.

The staff has shown they can beat Kansas and Self in short and long recruitment, and KU has won more recently than pUKe.  Cal is as crooked as they come though so I just never count hom out.

Cal has about 57 high-end guards in the NBA; that is Cal's pitch and it's a compelling one. UK has pro-style facilities and living accommodations, and most importantly, their coach was also the coach for DeAaron Fox, John Wall, Devin Booker, Shai Gil-Alexander, Tyrese Maxey, and more. NIL eliminates the slime factor - I'm not buying that these days.

That having been said, we also have some really good elements to our pitch.

Being involved and grabbing 5 stars like Mgbako, Ware and Mcneeley are fantastic. We just need to keep momentum moving forward and hope it translates to the court this year.

My guess is because the kid just shared what he wasn't suppose to. Now Trilly is distancing himself from this Noah guy. I'd say it's even more likely what he posted is legit and Boogie is a Cat.

Sounds like it is a toss-up with no real good info coming in. I still feel we're slightly ahead but that could me my IU bias from what I hear from IU people. Cassidy has UK slightly ahead but says IU can still win.
