I read on peegs where Coach Ya had the scout of Purdue. He needs some credit because we were well prepared for what they run & how to guard their big men. I know some we're not fans of his hire but he has done a heck of a job so far this season.

Also heard Tony Adragna say on a podcast somewhere that PU was in the 20-30 percentile range guarding:

1. Pick-n-roll handlers finishing plays, and

2. either the roller finishing OR first pass recipient finishing plays in PNR, forget which.

and the offense was more PNR-heavy than usual. All-around good scout.

Is Jaden Ivey the best Purdue player since Glen Robinson? I mean, they have obviously had a lot of great players, but Ivey LOOK and PLAYS like an NBA player.

Yes, I’m 55 and before the big dog I would say Joe Barry Carroll. I never saw Mount play at Purdue but he was a stud also. Ivey also has the worst attitude of any Purdue player I have seen play and falls down after every shot attempt anywhere. Purdue normally plays with a little class, and beating them with this NBA baller after the Archie streak, is sweet as honey.

Woodson has the balls to draw up the final play for our most inconsistent and perhaps most disappointing player the last few years? Now that is something, wish I had that courage!

happy for Rob, Woodson, and the program. Big win to get the program buzzing again, similar to Creans first ranked win. Now we need to regroup and focus on the remaining schedule, lots of basketball to be played.

Except his happened in his 1st year.

I remember the Purdue teams from their 2007-2011 run pretty well and statistically E'Twaun Moore was pretty similar to what Ivey is doing now, but Ivey's measurables and athleticism are on another level.

1-3 on road. He's not wrong. Enjoy this one but work to be done.

True, we are 1 and 3 on the road and we should have some concerns about how we play on the road. I share those concerns, but unlike the last few years, we have been in every game we lost. It may not feel like progress, but it has been, albeit incremental.

Yeah when I saw it I laughed at it.  Apparently at Purdue, Big Ten Championships > National Championships. I was like, who's running the marketing department and how in the world did that pitch get past the brainstorming sessions?

They ran that other commercial about being #1 in the polls during their Rutgers game.  I hope they keep going with the campaign.  It's awesome entertainment.
