  1. With Oregon, I think we might be seeing that replacing two great coordinators is difficult, and going the internal route may not be the best answer. We'll see how the rest of the season plays out.
  2. Indiana beats UM 1-0. #2 Maryland losing to Northwestern 4-0!
  3. This is not a power ranking, it's a best BT teams since 2000 ranking.
  4. Anyone have thoughts on how good this team is? We had a great non con last year, and then fell apart.
  5. For some people, I imagine making $3MM a year is enough.
  6. I’m not sure I’m overly worried about the tackling. It was so brutally hot, I’m sure the coating of sweat every player had on them made tackling quite difficult. Hottest football game I’ve ever attended.
  7. Currently up 2-0 in the 66th minute.
  8. If we are undefeated and OSU is undefeated (which means they beat Texas @ Texas), and we beat them then we will be #1.
  9. Big Ten 11-5 during bowl season, SEC 4-10. That is the beginning and end of the argument. The narrative about the SEC being so deep is born from mid-tier teams beating the top-tier teams during the season. The thing is, that only carries weight if the top-tier teams are actually good…and it turns out they weren’t.
  10. Believe it or not, he’s one of the top English teachers in Alabama.
  11. Straight out of the Curt Cignetti playbook. We'll see how well he can back it up.
  12. Yeah, that was an incredibly boring game.
  13. I honestly feel like the attitude from Dolson is probably ‘Let’s show some progress this year with a team that has very few seniors. If we can do that, I’ll go hard after the boosters to build a championship-level team next year.’
  14. We’re already a legitimate destination as we just won the national championship. And I think our transfer portal haul shows that. Just because we aren’t willing to pay up for freshmen doesn’t mean kids wouldn’t be willing to come here if we did.
  15. The fact that he had Warren Sapp as a coach tells you all you need to know. The dude was blacked out drunk in the parking lot before the national championship game and his friends were equally, if not more blacked out. One of the friends came up to me (again absolutely hammered), and told me that he knows Sapp is a celebrity, but it doesn't give me the right to bother him. I'm like dude, I haven't been within 50 feet of the guy.
  16. Reading? No. Condescension? Yes. You seem to be concerned only with the outcome while minimizing the process it took to get there, you are certainly entitled to that opinon. And I agree the outcome was correct. But with a political leader openly touting putting his thumb on the scales, the process was at best not very transparent and at worst shady. I don't think it's outrageous for people to be questioning it.
  17. You can't believe that someone would have a different opinion than you? Interesting.
  18. I have a grudge against North Texas. I went to the game in Denton in 2011 in a full IU jumpsuit and we were losing 24-0 at one point I believe. All their fans let me know about it…pretty embarrassing. They also didn’t sell liquor in that city, not sure wtf that was about.
  19. I guess I’d be pissed if I was a Belgium fan, but now it’s both teams at full strength as it ultimately should be. And it was a bad call to begin with.
  20. Two things can be true: 1) Jaylen Brown is not a top 8 Celtic 2) This was an awful trade for the Celtics that made their team worse.
  21. He also threw it from the actual mound unlike Brunson and Hart.
  22. Edit: I should have read through the rest of responses before I responded. Others made the point better than I did.
  23. I agree that they got much better, but it's really hard to see this move vaulting them to any better than 3rd in the east.
  24. Students will show up when we don’t suck anymore. It’s not their obligation to support a mediocre team year after year, sitting in awful balcony seats to do so.
