Agree with this. There will always be doomsayers claiming “everyone else turned us down” but I take people at their word. Dolson wanted an NBA guy that recruits would like and who would install a modern system. Yes he inquired with a few others, but this seemed to be the direction the entire time.

I’m not sure we turned out nose up at these guys. From what I’ve heard, I truly believe Stevens was option A and Woodson was B.

Scream an abundance of rules by the NCAA to me. That was the big reason Howard has Martelli. Helps navigate the rules. I also hope Matta will oversee a change in compliance oversight to show them what OSU does for basketball.

Not saying I take Woodson over Brad, but a reluctant Brad over eager Mike is a tougher call.

I hope we don’t settle for Big Ten Chanpionships. Is he going to the final four and a championship game? That’s where Indiana is suppose to be.

This is the part I have issue with.  Would IU have a chance with a 25 yr NBA, 2X NBA HC if he didn't want IU to ties to IU and wanted them to succeed? Who needs who more?
