John Beilein = Geritol
So he is 68. Big deal. There quite a few coaches older than him. Heck the 2 main Presidential Candidates last year are older than him. I'd say there is a lot more pressure doing that job than a College basketball Coach.

It's the thought of having to go through another coaching change that worries me about Beilein.  He's 68.  RMK retired at that age, so it's conceivable that he might not coach past the terms of his first contract.  IMO, he's pretty close to a guarantee to get the program turned around and headed in the right direction, so that's in his favor.

You watch a ton of CBB - do you think the players we have returning are a good fit for his system? With one recruit signed for next year, it may be very important that the new coach's style of play fit what he inherits unless he can thrive in the transfer market.

Like a lot of things in life, timing is key and something we have little control over.

Most of them would be ideal in his system.  Trey has the size but not the shot to be perfect for a wing in his system.   More shooting would be needed.   He would try and transform Duncomb into his Teske.   Logan has good form but I don’t think he shoots enough. That would change under Beilein

I just want to set some things straight here everyone:
1. It's Beilein. That's the spelling. That's for you and I Stuhoo. Just remember I after E.
2. Brad Stevens makes an unknown amount of $ right now. To say he's making less than $4M is pure speculation
3. Chris Beard's contract buyout is $3M unless it's a Big 12 school or any school in TX it's $15M
4. Nate Oats'(No 'E') buy out is $12.6M untill after the 21-22 season

I also agree with that but to say the fan base would tune out is a little short sighted in my opinion.

Fair.  But would Dolson hire the guy who hired the guy that helped wreck our program?

OUR FOOTBALL COACH IS RETWEETING THIS S***?? Oh man Tom Allen is drinking the kool-aid right along with us! It is really going to happen! Come home Brad!

.....Yes I know that's not really Tom Allen's twitter

Okay new approach...SD brings CTA to do the sales pitch. No way someone hears CTA and doesn’t get hyped and want to come to IU

I would imagine Beilein is outside of his top 3 choices so I don't think we'll get that far. I know nothing but I'm just getting that feeling based off actions and comments from Dolson.

As I said most won’t like the hire if it happens but if he is your floor coach that’s not a bad floor coach to have coach your team.
4 years of Archie or 4 years of Hamilton from FSU or even Kruger from Oklahoma who is 68?  Old is old I guess but good coaching is still good coaching

I will not be sold on B-Line.  We are trying to brand.  We are trying to hit a home run.  I would rather  take a flyer on a mid-major than to get a 3-4 year rental.  Plus as Indiana fans, we know it takes 3 years or more to build a winner (sarcasm).  It would be a disastrous hire for what we want to accomplish.

Five years ago I would’ve been thrilled to land Beilein. Now, ehhhh. No thank you. He’s too old. I question how well he’d be able to recruit young African American men after the thugs comment. Dolson has to see the same things that we do. If he hires Beilein then he’ll be doing this all over again in 5-6 years. I doubt he wants that.

Beilein is above guys like Enfield and Fife for me. But he’s below all the targets like Drew, Oats, Musselman, Beard, Stevens, etc.
