Yes there are a few people tracking flights. It was an interesting week. Flights from Clark Co, Monroe and Bedford Mass all went to Teterboro. Then yesterday two planes Ned’s and an unmarked flew from Teterboro to Clark Co. Then drove over to Bloomington. I’m pretty sure the search firm is in town this weekend.

Each day it's a different one lol. Yesterday it was Truthhurts. Tomorrow it will probably be one of the ghosts. Maybe KathywithaC recruited them?

Remember when RTZ posted the "Ladies and Gentlemen, we got him" video and I pee'd a little. Only to wake up the next morning to read that he had drank a bit too much Saki the night before. Part of me died that day.

Anyone have any insight into Arizona’s NIL situation? Under pre-NIL landscape, no chance in hell someone leaves a successful run at Arizona for IU, but given they’ve lost a few big name players to the portal in recent years (ballo being an obvious example), I can’t help but wonder if their NIL situation is weak enough that Tommy Lloyd would listen.

Their athletic dept has financial issues (including NIL) and word is Tommy may not get along great with their AD.  That’s why I mention him as a possibility, though how much of a possibility I don’t know.

I would be excited if we got him.  Good metrics and he can handle this job.

It seems like teams not in the Big Ten or SEC are getting left behind as far as NIL goes.

I’ve been on that thought train for a while, as well. If you believe Arizona message boards it’s not great and there was a lot of reporting last spring that he was sniffing around the Washington job a little bit. Can’t lie, I’m a fan. Also like that he’s already been the face of a high profile program where basketball is the A side and gets that level of scrutiny. Not many guys have that on their resume.

Oh he’d be the home run of home runs. I’d take him over Otz and May in a heartbeat, and any other realistic option I can think of. His teams at AZ have been uniformly outstanding and it’s a fun brand of basketball without question. 
 

It’s not crazy if their NIL stinks.

Look, I know the odds of landing Stevens is low, but that’s it. It’s low, but not zero. 
 
Who knows,….. 4 years ago the word was Stevens was super close to taking the IU job, but as we all know things changed after a supposed vote.
 

Or, whether it truly was “not the right time” or “the meeting”, where Brad’s wife was apparently offended/pissed off by comments some board members/donors made.

I tend to lean on the fact that I think Dolson is doing much better job at keeping this whole thing a guessing game.

There’s obviously secrecy and most likely smokescreen after smokescreen and I wouldn’t put it past a few “moles” posing as insiders. 

I want Brad Stevens at IU, but I’m absolutely ok if, in the end,…. it’s not him too. 

Now, we continue to wait!

Loyd just signed a new contract last February.  I can’t find any info on his buyout number but I believe it was 12M before the new contract.  Good coach but I am not seeing that one.  Some have said he is a NW guy through and through.

If we’re willing to throw $10M at Brad we should be willing to throw at least $8M at Lloyd.  But it’s not my money of course.
