I do wonder if the "search firm" is for no other reason than vetting Beard. Not sure how much "vetting" you need for a Stevens, May, Drew, Otz type of hire (I know they do more than that, im just saying). Dolson has to have known Dusty was a no long before the news of an extension dropped, so it really makes me curious where he has been in contact since Dusty off the board seriously ratchets up the pressure on him IMO.  Assuming Stevens was always a no, our search started on guy number 3? The whole thing is strange to me so far honestly.

“Vetting” would probably be in the form of contacting agents (Drew/Otz/etc) and finding out if interested?  How much money would it take?  Other wants?  Taking that info to find out who serious candidates would be.

I don’t understand the Cronin discourse. Sure I’d love to love the new coach’s personality after four years of Woodson, but making the tournament every year would get me over it. 

Compare them to Crean who was fired and it looks even worse.  Cronin would not last.  He's Tom Crean but much shorter.

I’m kicking around the idea of an annual BTB free-for-all day. Think of it as our very own purge. Lock down the site so no new accounts can join and one special thread is open to just get absolutely buck wild. Conspiracies, crazy insider stories, the whole nine yards. If you have a problem with someone? Hash it out. 24 hours of unmoderated madness and then the thread is deleted forever. I think it would be good for us.
