coonhounds Posted February 22 Posted February 22 Interesting Reading other message boards from rival schools and they think May signing gives Beard more of a chance at IU which scares them because, as one poster said “Beard would be scary good at IU.” Just noting who our rivals don’t want us to sign. Yes because they are smart. They know he is a hell of a coach and would win big here. They also probably root for a school who if they had a chance to land a home run like beard it would happen. However the joke is on them! We are iu and will not hire a top coach because he made mistakes in the past! Sent from my SM-S926U using Tapatalk IUFAN1976, thebigweave, skhoosier2 and 1 other 4

IU is going to get a very good coach this cycle Imperative!!! I think we are in dire strait, IMO

This guy has coached in D1 less than 1 year. There is a major difference between D1 and D2. The program is at the point where we can’t base it off of a possible what if, they need a guarantee winner from D1. I am not saying 4 or 5 years from now that he wouldn’t work out but IU just can’t and shouldn’t take that chance. USPS SAYS HOLD MY BEER! AND JohnsonIU! johnsoniu 1

jumpshot53 Posted February 22 Posted February 22 Scott has known for months he would have to replace Woodson. He has his guy. I do believe that. I don't think he woke up today to see that Dusty was signing a new contract. I do believe we have our guy, Scott has known this for months. At least that's what I want to believe. The Oats picture is a relic from the last search. Paints a pretty sad picture that we keep finding ourselves in this position. SlammySammy 1

There is no coach or fan that is perfect. Everyone has skeletons in their closet and nobody is perfect. I really trust Dolson is really looking at him and doing his due diligence to see if he’s improved himself and is making amends for what he had done. Nobody is perfect and it’s time to look the other way and give this guy at least a look. In Scott Dolson I trust! Deserthoozier, RoadRage, Hoosier987 and 3 others 6

I think we are in dire strait, IMO Don’t need to win the press conference just need to get a college basketball coach that’s a grinder and with ius resources they will be just fine How far down do you think Louisville got before they ended up with Pat Kelsey? I’m guessing the Louisville boards lost their mind. College of Charleston head coach is killing it at Louisville. Kentucky hired a former Utah Valley and BYU head coach. I’m sure Kentucky fans thought they were getting an established high major head coach. They didn’t and Mark Pope in year 1 has that fan base as excited as they have been in a while. These 2 will need to continue building the program however both have their programs off to a fantastic start. Iu will be just fine in my opinion no matter who Dolson ends up hiring as long as that coach is a college basketball lifer and grinder that program will have a chance to crawl out of the mediocre hole they have been living in lillurk, woodenshoemanHoosierfan, Home Jersey and 7 others 6 4
