It may not just be Dolson's fault.  If the guys on his list give him a hard no, no matter what the offer, it is out of his hands.  This is a very possible scenario.

He was quoted as he only gave advice for the job, not that he was interested in it. He hasn't spent a night in Stillwater unless they've played there. Who can blame him though? Stillwater looks terrible.

I don’t think May says “no.” But if he does, I’m Beard and Drew. Yes, the university would need to do its due diligence on Beard, but let them do it. He’s a coach that would win here. 
Sadly, a Buzz or Cronin hire and we could be  back here in 3-5 years

Goodman crosses all the world's on this (college basketball, IU, NBA, Boston). He had some, "here we go again" tweets with the Stevens stuff right when the Woodson announcement was made because he sees the IU fan accounts, so he went and squashed it quickly. 

Possible.  Also possible that Goodman saw all that and went to Stevens and said, "Hey, you talking to Indiana" and Stevens says, I am happy where I am at, while also talking to Indiana, because no way he is telling that jagoff he is talking to Indiana at that juncture whether he was or not.

All that said, I doubt it is Stevens but that is regardless of who told Goodman what.  I don't think he is plugged into anything at Indiana and if Stevens was talking to Indiana he has zero reason to tell Goodman that.

As a lifelong IU fan and an Eastern Greene Tbird, this would be incredibly disappointing news.  It seemed like last year was the year, and it was a punch in the gut to see him go to Michigan, but to not be able to hire him away… woof.

I’m sure other candidates will be fine, but man is he a people person.  He embodies Knight in that manner-  remembers names, writes notes, visits people in the hospital and teaches his players to do the same.  It would have been impossible for the people of Indiana to not support him. Perfect fit culturally.

Maybe I should check the football page ,but I am to lazy today ,so was the board aware of who the football coach was gonna be after firing TA ? Where you anywhere close to thinking a guy from JMU ? Maybe he has found another coach like CC  for basketball Just trying to calm my nerves ,at least last year I had another team to watch instead of all IU  that was Indiana State ,but now that is also gone so now  watching my spouse and how much that team can play basketball ,while they were not good this year in football but my team was

Could be true, but from the Michigan fans I know, they'd tell you that the track record of Sam Webb (if that's who it is) is spotty at best.

I didn't really buy the idea that May went to Michigan while waiting for IU. If he was waiting for IU he could've stayed at FAU for another year.

IU missed the boat because they insist on giving bad coaches too long.

All we want is a proven winner who is under age 55.  It shouldn’t be hard for IU with everything this job offers.  But this administration is so inept.
