agree.  it's not a sexy hire like most will want, but he's got a higher floor (consistent tourney appearances year over year for quite some time) with solid upside still(sweet 16s/final 4).

You are right, not a sexy hire at all; however, he definitely beats our last 8+ years.  I am hoping that Dolson does his due diligence and goes through his list of candidates and they all said no before he gets to Cronin.  At best Cronin would be 5-7 on Dolson’s list, not #1

Is this still referring to the Goodman posting?  Does anyone put any weight on it or have a perspective?  I don't do xitter.

Yeah, and there are other reasonable reputable people who think this isn’t over.

Personally, I’ll be surprised if we hear anything prior to the end of our teams current season regardless of who the coach will be. The only way would be through a leak but, if you buy that Goodman was intentionally thrown off the scent, then I’d guess the leaks will slow down if not stop completely.

Yeah I think reasonable people can agree there are probably quite a few reasons a guy from the Midwest may be done dealing with California...just saying

agree - check off all of your boxes.  Don't just settle for Mick if Brad is truly off of the radar now(honeslty no clue if he is or not).  Micks interview Friday was a good one just like Dustys was when UM was here and did his interview.  For me, I'd choose between Dusty and Mick.  Dusty has the wide potential floor vs ceiling risk/reward maybe.  Lower floor based on lack of head coaching experience at higher end D1 schools but was very good at FAU with less resources available and in year 1 is very good at Michigan so a higher ceiling compared to Mick?  Mick probably presents a higher floor but lower ceiling if comparing those two.

Question:  Would they really announce a coaching change before the end of the season?

Theoretically, if it is Brad and the media is beating his door down, he (nor anyone else) is publicly accepting the IU position with someone still in that post.  Now, the minute after the season has ended...the gloves are off.

I think most people know which one I would pick but if Dolson lands either one, I would be excited for either one.  Definitely they both are a very large upgrade from what we have now and the recent past.

In terms of revenue, they aren't? Or?

I’m guessing the Big East tv contracts are in line more with what  high major conferences get.   Fox inked a new deal last year for  12 year 500 million.  That’s just Fox.    NBC and cbs also have their own deals with them.   Not seeing many mid major conferences getting that kind of deal

I think that word is out if you know something be quiet. Except someone forgot to tell Isaac. :-)

Unlesse you want to privately DM those that have not given up hope and are nice in their comments/support :)

The complete silence more or less from the "national guys" on anything is telling. Usually you'll get more "I am hearing XYZ", and at least firm denials/new contracts negotiation news from potential target coaches. All we have are about the most milquetoast I am happy quotes you could get from Brad and Dusty. Makes a guy wonder what is going on behind the scenes...

I didn't see the IUFB post  but on one of the next pages I did see Rabjohn's refute Fife's guess that NIL will go down without Woodson. He said that the Cook's will likely keep up the contributions.

If you see something, say something. If you know something, STFU. Sounds bout right.
