Ok, I checked and Goodman said Stevens told Field of 68 he wasn't a candidate and Goodman founded Field of 68. Although the only quote from Stevens he gave didn't actually use those words.

Stevens isn’t quoted mentioning IU or its job. And never said the words being attributed to him. He was quoted as saying he enjoys working for the Celtics. Goodman is spinning the rest.

All this back and forth about BS and whether people should be believed or not or whether anything is factual people post is exactly why I continually post, ill believe a coach is hired will happen when the contract is signed.

IMO, getting one's hopes up based on posts on a forum and then getting all bent out of shape, tells me more about that person , than those posting their opinions or what they hearing. Can you say gullible

UM has so much money it’s not too hard for them to pony up to keep him — contract, staff $/program budget, and NIL are all going way up.  Not good.

But they wouldn’t accept Johnell Davis. And there’s been other transfers they haven’t accepted. That could pose a significant long term risk even with increased funds.

Isn’t the set of breaking bad a house in New Mexico that a woman currently lives in? Lol. Could be mistaken but pretty sure that was the case at least as of a couple years ago. Maybe in a certain light Dolson looked too much like Saul Goodman and Stevens got turned off to the whole idea… lol

It’s only exhausting because you let it get to you.  Why do you care what random people post on a free message board.  Who cares what “insiders” say.   You don’t believe it so it should not effect you when they post something.

The exact same thing could be said the other way

you all let it bother you so much when other people call the “insiders” stuff a bunch of fantasy land BS

if you want to believe it go ahead but why get upset that others call it out as make believe

So where did the Breaking Bad story come from. That sounds awfully made up to not be true. Who could come up with an idea like that to pass along unless it happened?

I heard about it after it happened but didn’t believe it but checked the flight tracker and both were there at the same time. Then when it was brought up by Isaac I thought it must’ve happened.

She's actually trying to sell it right now for 4 million dollars...  maybe they are going in on a vacation home together.

For me it isn't them posting things but it is how others react to those rumors. When those rumors don't pan out then the people react in a negative way towards the wrong people. When people take things as fact the it don't happen then they blame our administration even though these things probably never happened.

Is there anybody in here that actually likes Goodman as a reporter?

Call it a poll.

Sure! I like Goodman as much as any.

Goodman is entertaining and seems like a good guy to me.

He doesn’t have to be right or always make IU fans happy to be a good guy. He clearly likes IU and Btown a ton.

Have read 2 articles about him now but do you think his manic like fear of a level set for fan expectations would be too much for him here?

Temperament is, no kidding, probably the most important single thing in this process imo. And Williams might ordinarily concern me, except for 2 factors here: 1} His 2 years with Crean and the fact that they’re still in touch. In the course of researching the job a guy probably can’t get more candid accurate feedback than he would get from Crean. 2) The last 8 years have set the next guy up to be loved if he’s good.

This was confusion. Dolson did go to New Mexico, but it wasn't to see the Breaking Bad set. It was to sign his "guy"

Richard Pitino.

That’s Richard Pitino who is young and would be a massive upgrade from Woodson, especially since he’s never had real NIL or top level recruits.

And has a far better resume than McCollum or Steven Pearl. When was the last time IU had a former B1G Coach of the Year?
