Could we re-visit this 'for free' comment?  I thought the reason I hadn't seen any paychecks was because it was some kind of deferred compensation plan.  You're telling me I'm working for nothing????

Stock options.  Just wait until btb stock matures and you're set

Thank you for the GI Bill.  Thank you for the opportunity to grow up and get focused.  The service definitely makes one focused.  For a while there, I got 25 cents an hour...24/7.  And they took out your first set of government issue uniforms & etc out of that.  Then came back to IU.  Earned a BS in Business/Finance and found and married my college sweetheart.  We moved to Madison WI.  After working for a while, I earned a Civil and Environmental Engineering degree...still was receiving significant GI Bill for college.  And got our first house using the Government backed loan requiring no money down.  I qualified.

Unfortunately, service members today do not quite get the benefits that veterans got.

I enlisted.  Made E5.  Petty Officer 2nd Class, YN2(ss).

Have you joined the American Legion?  I highly recommend.  They pushed for the GI bill.

Posting that it is unlikely that Brad Stevens isn’t meeting with Scott Dolson in Miami in the middle of February because his son is in town tonight is negative.

some of you just don’t want to face facts that contradict Brad Stevens as the next coach at IU

i want Brad as much as the next guy. And I’m not saying it won’t happen. But I very much doubt he’s meeting with Dolson in Miami tonight

“Some of you don’t want to face the FACTS that contradict….”

I won’t sit here and say that everything said about Brad is 100% fact, but do you have anything that is 100% fact that proves they are lying or he won’t be the next coach?

What those people are saying are no more of a “fact” than what you are saying.

You can type it til your fingers go numb and I’ll keep reminding you how dumb it is.

As someone that was quietly a mod for a very short time, I promise the mod squad is blowing through their budget currently pulling every burner known to man to speak it into existence.  That’s what we did.  When you guys notice the ads picking up, just know they needed a few burners.  Or an Apple update 6 months past due.

The FACT is that Brady Stevens will be in Boston tonight

im using that FACT to argue that it is likely Brad wouldn’t choose tonight of all nights to meet with Dolson in Miami

Not really funny.   IU has stunk for 4 years under Woody so people were checked out.   Bring in a coaching search and the best message for IU fans to talk about IU things(and all of college basketball) is BTBanners.   Last coaching cycle we had an influx of new posters from a different board (you were one of them no?) and new sign ups.    This place was the place to be during the last search.    Fast forward 4 years and it looks like another influx of new posters from different message boards have found the hot spot.   And we here at BTBanners welcome them all

100%. Seriously, with the exception of maybe a Final 4, what other event can possibly generate engagement like a coaching search? It is literally catnip for message boards.

My grandfather was a vet and member. Would I be eligible to join? I have great memories of being at "the Legion" as a kid. For some reason I remember they opened up eligibility to relatives of vets because of dwindling numbers.
