I believe this tweet was before IU had even announced that we were parting ways with Archie. I think it was a joke.

Beard - This would be the other route I'd go other than Beilein.  Younger guy, could be that 20+ year coach.  16-17(1st year) he went 18-14 and missed the tourney, however, 17-18 went to Elite Eight, 18-19 went to the final game and last year would have made the tourney.  This year they are a 6 seed.  He's more than proven he can get to the tourney and succeed at Texas Tech(B12 is not an easy conference to play in with Texas/Baylor/Kansas/Etc).  

Stevens - Pipe dream yes but never say never.  Look at Georgetown, they had a 0.5% chance to win their conference tourney this year and they did just that.  Strevens knows hoosier hospitality above most on our wish list.  

 

My preference Stevens/Beard/Beilein in that order.  

 

You can watch some episodes of "Knight School" on youtube, which is like a bachelor style show for a spot as a walk on at Texas Tech. Chris Beard is in it and really cool. The biggest reason IMO Archie was fired was because his personality didn't connect with the fan base. I think Stevens, Beard, Oates, or Musselman would have the personality to take over at IU and be succesful.

Obviously, I would be over the moon if we get Brad, but I would happily take any of those 4 and be excited for the future of IU hoops again. Thanks for sharing that @Chris007!

Micah Shtewsberry saw what was building at IU and ran away from Purdoo when he realized they'd never beat us again.  That's the way I read it

Yeah I'm a little concerned of Crean 2.0 with him. He's not my #1 but he seems to make sense in a lot of ways. Hope I'm wrong!
