Not really he was 6-10 in Q1 with a win at Kansas without his son. Beat Iowa st at home and beat Arizona and Zags all in the same year.   IU couldn’t beat any of those teams with Woody.  Actually woody was down 20 to 3 of those teams.   His team actually got screwed more than IU in making the tourney and he did it without one of his best players.  His best player is from Indiana

Took over a bad West Virginia team. Completely gutted the roster. Was picked to finish at or near the bottom of the B12. Beat Gonzaga and Arizona in the Bahamas (lost to Louisville in OT to go to finals). Far exceeded year 1 expectations despite losing his best player early in the season and was snubbed a tourney bid this year. This all after a great run at Drake for several seasons.

DeVries is more enticing to me over someone like McCollum because I believe he’s got a roster he can bring that can win out of the gate. Imperative that whoever coaches IU next year win and ride that momentum or it’s going to be a long 3-4 years.

Agent wants his coach paid more money. IU is in the middle of a search. Let it leak to everyone at the same time that IU is "serious" about his guy. Guy gets more money somewhere.
