First, the political capital spent to force out a former star player held in high regard by the university had to have been massive. There’s no way we do that to hire someone who is not a clear upgrade what so ever. Second, the fan reaction is going to be awful. All the air is going to be sucked out of the program before he would even get on campus. We would be back to paying millions to have above average teams at best, if the NIL is even still there. But a done deal, as in a signed contract? I don’t see how that happens, particularly if there are buyouts involved. But, as I’ve stated, I’m not in the industry. pumpfake 1
