There aren’t conversations with active coaches, at least not directly with them. But those coaches have helpers, and so do we. It’s one of the reasons why the pace of these things moves slowly while the season is ongoing.

so then there are conversations

It looks like people maybe weren't specific enough in their prayers.

"God, please bring us Brad as coach as coach for IU basketball."

He's might bring us the wrong Brad...

What about conversations with non-current coaches?

There are some IU fans who only root for the basketball program and have enjoyed taking pot shots at the football program over the years. That got ripped away from them this past year and they've not handled it very well.

Because the are reversible jackets fans! I bet most are notre dame fb fans! Man that irks me!

The national media types are really hammering this "IU fans are toxic" narrative and it's irritating the hell out of me.

Isn't Parrish a Purdue guy? I'm absolutely laughing how dumb you have to be to think "Indiana fans" are toxic, but the other large fanbase living in the same state is completely fine. like wtf

Parrish is a Memphis guy and definitely has some kind of axe to grind against Indiana. I live in the area and he used to have a radio show on the local ESPN channel and would always nitpick at IU whenever he could.

Yeah, I understand.  But sometimes you have to let Cheney, Olidipo, etc, do what they do.

That'd be Alford, Thomas, Buckner, Yogi, etc, in a McCollum system.

It’s unfolding discreetly, but it’s unfolding. Keep in mind that active coaches aren’t having direct discussions with us or anyone else, which is why this is moving much slower than some would prefer.

Not to discount you as an insider on the"process" but...

The process at this point, as it’s always been, is to evaluate and decide at season’s end. Nothing about that changed because we played poorly against Iowa or Illinois. Unless Woodson breaks whatever rules remain or has some sort of catastrophic health issue, nothing is going to happen.

your record speak to the contrary.

Not directly with coaches, no. With people connected to them? Of course. Try better sunnies if you’re squinting that much.

no, you just described conversations with active coaches lol

Sorry you call it a half dozen, I just call it 6.
