That sure seems like the tweet that proceeds a Ben M is finalizing a deal to become the next IU basketball coach.
Well i will certainly give him a chance but very underwhelming to me and a huge huge risk.but this will be dolsons legacy good or bad

Goodman also believes McCollum will need offensive and defensive coordinators.  If that’s truly the case, he’s woefully under qualified.

That being said, I believe BM will be the pick.

Goodman doesn't know his a$$ from his elbow when it comes to basketball.

All he knows how to do is kiss butt and chat $hit online.

Coach Bob Knight once said something about Goodman's "profession" ...

which was far more respectable at the time than while Goodman is doing it.

You’re right we’ve been worse for more than a decade.

Doesn't mean we should lower our expectations, I sure as hell won't.

Keep expectations where they should be, it's the coach's job to meet them.

No reason not to announce now if it’s Brad. Drop the cloak and dagger and announce the press conference tonight. No reason to continue the spy games. Woody has coached his last game. If it’s Stevens, he should have nothing to hide. He’s not coaching in the tournament. Dolson should be on the red phone to espn tonight excited as hell.

The NYT article has a portion interviewing a former PG of his who plays overseas now, I think he was 5'10.

They were encouraging him to transfer up to Kansas or KSU, he had opportunities supposedly and decided to stay in D2 because he felt "those schools had their chance" and he was developing more with Ben than he would there. I think forming the roster will be the tough part when he gets started, but he will be able to retain his players. Can he use the portal effectively? Filling out the roster is definitely a huge question and a big risk this cycle since it will be his first without that core group.

I am excited to see what he could do with our NIL budget and in HS recruiting. Stability. Winning. Good days ahead. (IMO)

I don't have much doubt that he can develop players. You don't win at an 80% clip without being able to do that. I think it speaks volumes that that player chose to stick with him rather than move up as well as a bunch of his players following him to Drake. Kind of like the loyalty Cignetti seems to get from his players.

We've heard about how efficient his offense is and I guess he gives the players lots of freedom. I would think that the necessarily knowledge and discipline to perform well in an offense like that would take some time to develop. I guess my question/concern is how long does that take? This would likely have an impact on next year but it would also have an effect on recruiting/roster turnover in the future.

Joe Lunardi just took UT from 1st out to last in, replacing...IU.

True, but on the other hand: Lunardi is probably the worst visible bracketologists out there. IU is more likely in than out, though it's hardly a guarantee. But IU is very likely ahead of several teams Lunardi has in the field as of this moment.

Goodman mixed up football and basketball. Honest mistake.

So did your source confirm why they went quiet?  Seems to be an important piece of information.

What? Confirm why they went quiet? As in “hey man, sorry, I’m gonna go quiet now because we are about to hire x, y, z coach….” Not trying to be @$$, but maybe I’m not following what you’re asking. But if you’re asking if my source gave me a heads up he would be going quiet, the answer is no.

I’m not worried about game planning. I’m worried about recruiting. IU has the NIL, get him some help landing the level of relent needed and he will win big.

If they get who they want instead of who he wants that could be a problem! I think Sisley is the best way to start him off! Hard working, relentless, student of the game, and talented! Give me more of them.

Well he will get his four years just like they all do. I guess dilson thinks because of cig this in now the route you have to go. Tries the flavor of the month. Tried the former player. Now let's try a d2 guy. Unreal
