I am glad he was fired, but I do feel for Archie that he couldn't get it done. I do not hate Archie though.I liked the hire. I was wrong.

Honestly I think more would’ve transferred if Archie had stayed. Bring in a serious replacement and I wouldn’t be surprised if they all stay (if the new coach wants them). 
 
Hopefully this increases the chances of Lander staying. He’s the one I was most worried about leaving.
 
 

I think most will wait and see who comes in.

Key timing early with the news.

 

The transfer market will be bigger and better than ever.  We need the next coach to have the chance and timing to cash in on the opportunities that are out there.  Our current roster isn't good enough to win big.  We also have time for our current players to decide their plans.  This timing is excellent, however aligning the next coach needs to be timely as well to optimize all the benefits.

Archie will be fine.

Just wasn't ready for this stage. I hope to see him back at a large program someday. Just isn't ready.
