RaceToTheTop Posted December 22, 2024 Posted December 22, 2024 LOL......ESPN still trying to find ways to compliment Tennessee, saying their 'fans showed up to the game'. Banksyrules 1 Quote
RaceToTheTop Posted December 22, 2024 Posted December 22, 2024 Against IU, Ohio State's starting quarterback scored with under 30 seconds left. Against Tennessee, they now have QB3 in with 7 minutes left. DChoosier 1 Quote

Magnanimous Posted December 22, 2024 Posted December 22, 2024 Would love for Georgia to lose to ND by 21, Texas to lose to ASU of all teams, and after that I’m done watching moyemayhem, Banksyrules, southsidehoosier and 3 others 6 Quote
Hoosierfan2017 Posted December 22, 2024 Posted December 22, 2024 Herbstreit’s still glazing the SEC while Tennessee is getting dog walked. Quote
Hovadipo Posted December 22, 2024 Author Posted December 22, 2024 Normally a big Herbie fan, but The Mouse got to him. Goofball takes constantly over the last 24 hours. It isn’t worth getting worked up over, and there’s still plenty of national people in our corner. Quote
RoadRage Posted December 22, 2024 Posted December 22, 2024 2 out of the 3 losing teams today got dominated just as bad or worse than IU, it happens in big games all the time, it happened to Ohio State not long ago. These paid off shill sports reporters need to STFU about teams not belonging. IU earned their berth as much as any other team there! Banksyrules, AZ Hoosier and cthomas 3 Quote

Hey, SEC: STFU. ESPN needs to. They are worse than anyone with their shameless propaganda. The SEC has gamed the system for years in the media and coaches poll ranking teams way too high so every loss is a “good loss”. Quote
Demo Posted December 22, 2024 Posted December 22, 2024 Well that was fun. The upcoming pretzel logic of the SEC press should certainly be entertaining. And back to hating OSU now. RoadRage, LIHoosier, Banksyrules and 4 others 7 Quote
TheWatShot Posted December 22, 2024 Posted December 22, 2024 Bring on the articles and rage tweets about how Tennessee and SMU didn't deserve to be in the CFP. Oh wait, they're not Indiana, so it's OK for them to get blown out on a big stage. DChoosier, RoadRage and hoopsta007 3 Quote
hoopsta007 Posted December 22, 2024 Posted December 22, 2024 I will add, we will be in a better spot next year as I’d guess we will be in the top 25 to start the year so able to climb quicker. I know they say the CFP committee isn’t influenced by ratings but they absolutely are. Alford Bailey 1 Quote
DChoosier Posted December 22, 2024 Posted December 22, 2024 The only favored home team that didn’t blow out their opponent was Texas of the SEC. TN of SEC got blown out but, but, but….IU shouldn’t have been in. I hope ND smokes Georgia. Dave from Dayton and RoadRage 2 Quote

I also expect at least 2 more blowouts in the 2nd round. So as negative as the elitists are being right now, I think it'll start to look not so bad. Especially after some time when people look at only the final score. IU ends up with the closest score of the 1st round. 2nd closest was the14 point loss by Clemson. There will be more blowouts next round. The SEC and their media shills can **** right off. RoadRage 1 Quote

I wouldn't be surprised if Notre Dame clobbers Georgia....if Notre Dame doesn't lose to Northern Illinois they would be #2, maybe even #1. They have a great defense and a ball control offense that gives that defense plenty of rest. They are going to be a tough out! DChoosier and IUHoosierJoe 2 Quote

Artie86 Posted December 22, 2024 Posted December 22, 2024 What if the first round playoff games are held in the same venue as the conference championship games? It would be determined by the higher seed gets to host that game, then its would be determined where it is played. For example, if IU was the higher seed, the game would have been played at Lucas Oil Stadium. Tickets would be split down the middle and allotted to each respective school. If all tickets are not sold by each school by certain date, they are open to anyone, which could mean more fans for either school. Call me crazy, I was just thinking how things weren’t so unfairly lopsided…. JMO I do realize that anyway you look at it, someone still has to travel a good bit, just not in their home stadium. GO IU! WayneFleekHoosier 1 Quote
LamarCheeks Posted December 23, 2024 Posted December 23, 2024 We're still getting roasted. And it's mainly because of the game result. We lost by 10, but let's be honest -- it really wasn't that close. We had a couple late scores to make it 10, which ironically, ended up being the closest tally of the four weekend games. But had we lost by 10 in a more competitive manner -- or maybe by 7 or 3 or whatever -- would the fussing still exist? Maybe, but it wouldn't be as loud. So that tells me the latest measuring stick is game results. And if that's the case, why does it appear that nobody is calling out Tennessee? They got poleaxed by O$U. Does that mean they didn't belong? And if so, there's no way Alabama belongs -- because UT beat 'Bama when they played. Not to mention their losses to Vandy and Oklahoma. SMU isn't even getting hammered as hard as we are. I don't get it. Maybe Cigs' bravado helped lead to such a toxic discourse. I sure as hell can't figure it out. It wasn’t as close as 10, but it was also easily the 2nd most competitive game of the 4. I’m kind of over the roasting. It’s just so obvious where it’s coming from and hard to take seriously. Part of it was that it was the 1st game on a Friday night. Part of it is the butthurt by the SEC for Tennessee getting embarrassed. Part of if is elitism and they just see IU's history. At the end of the day, they all played 60 minutes and it lost by the least amount. It's not like it was against ND's scrubs. Quote
