He will be there for one year and it’s in a different conference so very little impact on us. Archie didn’t have adequate time to establish a relationship with him and we are still in it til the end.If we do get him then awesome and we will be that much better. I prefer to focus on the slew of guys we COULD land in ‘19 as Archie has/will have more time to develop meaningful relationships with them. And, unless I’m severely mistaken, those individuals seem more likely to be around for at least 2 seasons before trying their hands at the NBA/Overseas. It goes deeper then trying to build a relationship with a top recruit. CAM is trying to build a relationship with a top player nationally which is also from the state of Indiana. Building a relationship with Romeo might not land him but it plants the seed to other Indiana recruits, high school coaches, and parents involved that IU’s approach is different from years past and inside out is for real. Crean seemed to get in quite early on a number of young, yet unkown players and when they "blew up" they dropped us like a hot potato.
