Yup. He didn’t reject IU, he rejected a career path he didn’t want to take. Not a single thing wrong with that. Now, if ends up at KU or UNC down the road, seriously doubt that,  that would be a pretty giant FU and would rate some pretty lusty booing should that opportunity present itself.

Well he managed to beat Kansas, Arizona, Iowa State and Gonzaga in one season with one of his star players was out due to injury... I have expectation that he can.

I'll take a coach who shows life on the sidelines as opposed to what we've had the last 4 years.
Teams so often take on the identity of their head coach. We've seemed mostly lazy and disinterested since Woodson got here.

I love it. I was saying easy target though if we're losing. I just hope everyone from dolson to devries knows winning is king here. Crean had it rolling till he couldn't beat syracuse in sweet 16 then he was a clown. Let's win!

For whatever it’s worth, I heard West Virginia people claiming this not Indiana people. Highly doubt it’s accurate, I just thought it was funny.

Recently not so much as this board just got more and more delusional. Honestly curious as to why:

1. "Insiders" are treated as insiders. They literally have zero inside information as evidence of this search and just throw out vague comments continuously. And when they incorrectly predict something it's "well shoot things changed this morning!" and all is well...
2. People treat them ("insiders") as though they are Associate IU AD's and they get free passes? Aka why do people eat this stuff up?

It’s a free message board and people can post and believe whatever they want. Corollary to that should be these dudes don’t get super sensitive when questioned. You’ve been consistently wrong for awhile, just take your lumps and laugh it off.

DeVries was one of the best non-whale options.  He’ll get us consistently in the dance, and work from there.  It’s a process.

If DeVries had been one of the top 4 choices that would have been proof positive that Dolson was settling and wasn’t doing his job to try to land the best coach available.  To be honest, I wouldn’t be surprised if DeVries was the tenth choice.  With all that said I’m still good with this hire.
