"Sources told Musketeer Report that Conwell is fielding offers ranging from $1.5 million to $2 million in compensation from other programs."

3rd team all-Big East is commanding a premium it seems.

Who else feels sorry for Damon Bailey?

He's done very well for himself, despite his NBA career never coming together. I grew up with his daughters. They lived in a very nice house in a fancy housing addition.

I’m just using him as an example.  All these great players of the past got a scholarship and these guys are getting 1.5 to 2 mil a year.

Caps would only hurt IU.

True, but no caps will destroy the game in my opinion! Talent was spread out before on a number of factors, quality of the program, quality of the education, locale, facilities, and I'm sure we can all think of a few others. But at least under that system you had some level of parity. Without caps, the elite programs will just have too much of an advantage. Every year in the NCAA Tournament we see smaller schools actually compete and win against even elite programs....that is not going to be happening much longer, in fact we are already starting to see less upsets. I think the caps could still be set high enough where the more historically elite programs would still have an advantage, but smaller schools with less resources would still have a shot at landing a few top players. Just my opinion, but I just hate to see the game ruined and to me, no caps ruins the game, at least without major changes, turning into basically semi-pro basketball, which maybe is what it has already become.

Curious why Tucker DeVries hasn't been officially announced to Indiana yet, if that is the plan as we all assume it is.
With the mass exodus, a little good news never hurts ha-ha.
He committed to west Virginia a year ago today, was hoping that was going to stay the trend

Cap won’t work. If there is a cap it will be violated within 2 seconds by UNC, UK etc and the NCAA won’t do ANYTHING about it.

The fact that the portal allows guys to transfer every single year, without sitting out, has really hurt the small schools. A lot of dudes didn’t want to sit for a year in the past but now anything goes.

Any chance Enright is close to as good as Ole Miss’ Pedulla?

He has looked much better in this tourney than he did during SEC play! Really good player non the less.

I was thinking this, too...not sure their skill sets match...but hopeful Enright could be the menace type player Pedulla is...

They aren't close offensively. Padulla is a stud
