There was early chatter about Creighton for that reason. Then the school visits started popping up and he's been quite a few places. I wish we could've gotten some traction with Isaac McNeely. Perhaps with Conwell going to Louisville that might change. Quote

In this case, maybe there's a feeling of security being within a certain distance to home versus being further away? We have no idea what his comfort level is. In a larger sense, I think it's a lot harder for us fans to decipher why some of players choose one team over another. It's not always just the bag or the coach or any factor that we even know about. Look at someone like Reneau. He got offers at a lot of schools. He decided to go home. That seemed obvious. Ok. There was a backstory about Conwell's family being from L'ville and him having spent time there, and having been recruited by them the previous year. We didn't know that when he first committed there. Now we're hearing the story about Dix's sick relative. How many things are going on behind the scenes of that recruitment that are deciding where he goes? I think this is true of a lot of these recruitments. I'm not sure, but I thought I read it was his mom that wasn't well. My mother would tell me "son if you turn down a million more dollars to be 1000 miles closer to me ill slap the 5h7t out of you." I'm trying to wrap my mind around a defense influenced by Achoki Moikobu and an offense by Preston Murphy with Dix, DeVries and potentially Goode on the floor in any combination. lillurk, Hoosierinbham and skhoosier2 3 Quote
AKHoosier Posted April 3, 2025 Posted April 3, 2025 If Goode gets granted his additional year, does that soften the blow of losing out on Dix? TrueHoosier62 1 Quote

Dix is better than Goode as he is more athletic, has the potential to play better defense, and can drive to get buckets and put pressure on the defense. Dix would be a great get, but if he chooses Illinois, I'm sure we have other targets we think can provide something similar. But I'd really like Dix after missing on Conwell. lillurk, AKHoosier, Hoosierfanyuh and 1 other 3 1 Quote

EasyEJay Posted April 3, 2025 Posted April 3, 2025 Man I know people don’t like the 4 schools in 4 years guy and he struggled this year at Kansas BUT man I’d love for IU to make a run at AJ Storr. Hes a versatile wing that can score and shoot that’s stupid athletic . Kind of guy IU hasn’t had in years ! hoosierdogg 1 Quote

He was horrible for Kansas, and Kansas fans were thrilled to see him gone. Definite questions about his attitude. That's the biggest red flag for me. With DDV turning over the roster, you have to think that he has zero interest in bringing in anyone like Storr in his first year. thebigweave 1 Quote
