@Certified Sunshine Pumperwhat's confusing about this? Flory isn't good enough offensively to play 30+ mpg on top of foul issues and Payne has never physically been able to play 30 mpg or really even come close to it.

A 22/18 minute split with Payne + Flory at the 5 with Flory playing a 4-5 minutes at the 4 when a bigger lineup is needed would be a good sell for DeVries. With multiple years of eligibility left, a good development year would potentially allow Flory to push 30+ mpg as an upperclassmen.

That would be amazing, no one is denying that.

No way one team gets both those guys though.

And I don't want an offense that has both those bigs on the floor at once. We've seen how that works out.

Why don't they compliment each other? You get 20 minutes of an elite shot blocker and potential high end rebounder who could be a massive threat in lob action and then you get 20 minutes of a brute who draws fouls and is very efficient around the rim. What else do you want/need from your 5?

Idk @JimmerNoe am I allowed to reply, on a message board that's devoted to IUBB? Especially this thread? I want to run it by you first.

I would be all over that! Payne 23mpg/Flory 17mpg. Not sure Flory would though.

If Flory really is down to Auburn, IU, and Michigan (still?) then there's no way he can expect to realistically play heavy minutes next year. I would assume he understands that though.

Tucker DeVries now official.

It’s not his job to do it, but I imagine he could be a great recruiter. If I’m him I’m all in on that - I would be texting and calling all my friends and guys I’ve played with at camps etc that could help.

I mean Payne left Minnesota as a spot starter to go be a spot starter at Texas A&M. He's never averaged more than 23 mpg anywhere . I think he knows and understands his limitations at this stage. I really struggle to see Auburn guaranteeing Flory 30+ mpg next year. Would be a massive jump that ultimately leaves him disappointed. He's just not ready for those kinds of minutes yet.

Bruce Pearl can guarantee 30 minutes per game.  Doesn't mean he has to mean it.

He went to dinner with Conwell and took pictures in full uniform with Enright so I think he is doing what he can

I would like to take this moment to acknowledge that if this was another dude in the same rank range as Tucker we would all be going nuts that we just got a top 10ish portal dude.

So let’s act accordingly!!! let’s go! Excited to see some crazy in-motion threes being launched from this guy. Tired of our only good looks being 10 set shots for the last few years and he should fix that.

Tucker.can.flat.out.play.

I have a feeling he will be my from favorite non-TJD player since Ferrell.
