Listening to DD on my way home and he has talked to a few people he knows who is around the program. They both said that the Ayers are running the locker room and don't listen or respect the coaches. I guess Ballo has told Woodson to F off numerous times without any consequences.

Figured this would eventually be making the rounds, but IMO this doesn't create the narrative Dakich thinks it does.

Sure some of these players think highly of themselves so may come off as entitled, but they do want to win.

If they thought they were getting competent coaching, then they would buy what Woodson is selling. They are very talented players, yet are not getting results. The players look over at the football program and know that team's new coach took James Madison level talent to 11 wins and the CFP. So now they're wondering why their own coach can't do something like that.

It's clear he's lost the locker room and likely most of the staff.

This will get ugly. Mike Woodson does not think he's the problem here, but it's evident to everyone else that he is.

He'll need to get fired. No way he resigns.

If we ever went to an interim coach, by far the most likely choice would be Kenya Hunter. The second most likely would be Yasir, and the third most likely would be Walsh. I guess Calbert would be a one in a hundred shot at taking the temporary role.

It would be Yasir first probably. That's who coached the Minny game when Woodson couldn't be there during TJDs senior year. I'm assuming he was chosen even then for a reason over Kenya.

No they did not. Golden's attorney stated that UF will not be pursuing employment contract violations. UF has not made a statement that I'm aware of.

Whether he stalked (multiple) women as alleged is something that, absent a civil suit by the women, we likely will never know.

They have.

He still won't be IU's coach. Why would he leave one football school for another football school?

Regardless, let's fire Woodson.

I don't think DD is defending Woodson. AFIK, he wants Woodson gone, too. He does want a former player as the coach but only 1 of 2 would be okay with him: himself or Alford. So I'm pretty sure the narrative DD is going for is that Woodson lacks leadership and has lost the locker room.

Just let the administration handle it. They have a track record of doing things the right way.

I'm just messing around. Nothing is going to happen today

Process oriented. Synergy. Global consensus. Fancy HR buzzwords.

I’ve been in too many meetings today. Is it Friday yet?

Except we were told by the players just last year to chill because they did know what they were doing.

That’s actually a bad look on Ya’s part imo. That’s the HC’s call. Woodys reasoning is defensible, even though it didn’t work out.

In my experience, you can bring it up again over drinks later that night if you have that kind of relationship. But showing the boss/HC up in public like that is not kosher and shouldn’t be tolerated.

Not as big of a deal as you think especially with how this season has gone. Coaches are competitors too and most want to move up to their own jobs. Things get heated in the moment. As a former coach I don’t want yes men as assistants. I want guys to be honest and give me their opinions on what they would do, see, decide, so on and so fourth. It’s my job as the head coach to then decide what I believe to be best overall. And either live with the outcome. That’s what the head coach gets paid for. Assistants should know it doesn’t always go there way and as a head coach I know sometimes I should have followed their advice and be able to recognize and learn from that. So if I’m Woody after the game it’s a simple conversation. “Hey ya I think I messed up. I made a bad decision and you were right we should have fouled and I should have taken your advice. My bad man. Keep throwing me good ideas.” And the whole thing is squashed because your assistant fell valued and heard.

I can’t imagine they are gonna let Woodson speak at Senior night.  That would be a disaster

You may have found the best reason to can him before the end of the season, if he knows or feels like it is his final home game, there is no telling what he will say!

"If you want to disrespect Mike Woodson, Mike Woodson is going come at you hard!"

The official IU pre-game injury report. For instance, from yesterday:

Technically that does not say injury report and as such, we should have had all but Luke Goode, maybe Ballo and Leal under Questionable.  They all have played questionably this year.

There is a plan in place but as my wife always tells me plans change. I think there are some things behind the scenes going on. Woodson isn't going quietly into the night. Besides money there are a few things to negotiate I'm told.

Also was told last week that Tucker and his dad are being a little difficult. They think he should be playing 40 minutes a game, plus already shopping him around to other schools for next year. So the staff is showing him

Show him the door and let it hit him in the a$$ on the way out.  Shooting 6.3% for 3, 38% FG% and losing your guy on defense most times doesn't warrant even 10 minutes per game.  Some of the kids are delusional.

Other than rant and rave, what could a pissed off Mike Woodson really do though? It's not as though he's RMK and can convince top recruits to look elsewhere. He can't scare off potential coaches or staff. His buddy Buckner won't be office for much longer after the season ends.

Honest question - does Tucker know how to pass the ball?

He's never seen a shot he doesn't like.
